Titanfall Beta Date Leaked

UPDATE 28/1/2014: Respawn has confirmed via its Twitter channel that the Titanfall Beta will not be tied to pre-orders, though no further information has yet been revealed.

Original article: French publication Xboxygen has supposedly leaked the date of the Titanfall beta.

The publication states that the beta will run for 5 days between the 14th and 19th of February, and, unfortunately for those who where hoping for an open beta, claims that it will in fact only be open to those who have pre-ordered the game via a specified retailer (Gamestop in the US and Zappos in France). No retailers for any other parts of the world have been mentioned.


No official announcement has yet been made by Respawn Entertainment or EA, though a stickied thread on Respawn’s forums from September last year urges fans not to be taken in by any unnoficial announcements of a beta (though admittedly this was posted before the recent closed Alpha testing took place).

A number of excitable fans have taken it upon themselves to attempt to sniff out potential beta confirmation through various sources, including EA Origin chat reps, though the reliability of such these sources is questionable at best. The rep in this particular instance, posted online 2 days ago, seems under the impression that a beta will happen, though cannot provide any specific details beyond that.

Respawn has yet to confirm or deny the claimed beta dates.
