I have a few Pokemon-related questions for you. How can you get both the Deepseatooth and the Deepseascale? Can you get a Chansey in Pokemon Emerald? Do you have to catch Feebas when it isn't raining or does it really matter? I am having some trouble capturing the rest of the Pokemon, what do you think I should do? Finally, is it true that you can catch every single Pokemon in Pokemon Emerald version without trading?

Hey David95,
I got your email and I have answers for you! Starting with the Deepseatooth/Deepseascale question. Basically you can only get one of these two items, unless you trade, and it only does something if you equip it to Clamperl and then trade Clamperl. The Deepseatooth evolves Clamperl into Huntail, the Deepseascale evolves it into Gorebyss. So, get a friend with a copy of Pokemon Emerald and do some trading!

Capturing Chansey in Pokemon Emerald

I have some bad news for you! You can only get Chansey in Pokemon Emerald if you trade it from Pokemon FireRed or Pokemon LeafGreen. The worst part is that it's hard to catch in FireRed and LeafGreen too! You can only catch it in the Safari Zone and you only get to take a few steps in the Safari Zone before you have to leave. But, here's a cheat for the Safari Zone!

Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen Safari Zone Cheat

You have to pay to go to the Safari Zone and you only get a certain number of steps before you have to leave. But, while changing the direction you're facing counts as taking a step and might make you find a Pokemon, it doesn't count as taking a step for when you have to leave the Safari Zone. So, get to the Safari Zone and spin in place to encounter all the Pokemon you want!

Capturing Feebas in Pokemon Emerald

As for catching Feebas, it doesn't matter if it's raining, except that Feebas gets stronger when it's raining! It's easier to catch Feebas when it's a sunny day, which is the perfect kind of day for fishing, really!
