Halo 4: Spartan Ops Guide
After completing the critically lauded campaign of Halo 4, you’ll have plenty more to do with the downloadable Spartan Ops episodes. These episodes, released free, let you and three other Spartans fight through small missions with their own plots, centered around the UNSC Infinity. While these are meant to be co-op stages, they can be completed solo — that’s why we’re here to provide you with a guide to surviving these grueling combat chapters. Check out all our tips below.

Spartan Ops Guide

Chapter 1: Land Grab
Unless you’re playing with a reliable teammate, ignore the Warthogs and commandeer one of the Ghost ahead to start driving forward through the canyon.
Take a left at every fork in the path ahead and stay close by the rest of your team to quickly eliminate the hostiles blocking the road in front of you, then swerve back and forth between the walls of the canyon to dodge the enemy Wraiths’ gunfire.
You can eliminate the enemy Ghosts more quickly by focusing your gunfire on the driver, rather than trying to destroy the entire opposing vehicle.
Open fire in unison with the rest of your team to destroy the enemy tanks before they can do much damage, then continue driving forward through the canyon ahead and eliminate the sniper in the hover tower above.
Finish clearing the immediate area of all enemies, then turn your Ghost’s gunfire on the indicated power core to destroy it and complete the first objective.
Continue towards the next red objective marker on the right and approach the enemy turret with another member of your team to confuse its targeting ability, then move around the mounted gun in a circle while firing repeatedly to eventually destroy it.
Destroy the second power core and continue driving along the canyon path ahead to approach the next closest objective marker, then fight off the invading wave of enemy forces by sticking close to your group of allies.
Aim for the driver inside the next Wraith you encounter to disable it, then dismount from the Ghost to take control of the more powerful enemy tank and use it effectively during the ensuing battle.
Follow the Covenant flying through the sky above to eliminate the ground forces it deploys as soon as they touch down, then destroy this enemy airship with the help of a Wraith you’ve commandeered or repeated fire from a Ghost.
Should you find yourself on foot at any time during a battle, equip a scoped weapon to hide up on the surrounding cliffs or at the top of canyon walls and snipe any enemy driver to commandeer his vehicle.
Destroy the third power core and wipe out the invading enemy forces to complete this chapter.
Chapter 2: Sniper Alley
Move forward around the walkway ahead to eliminate any approaching enemies at close range, then take cover behind the railing on the right and peek out to snipe the hostiles in the area below.
Try to separate yourself from the other members of your team so that enemies have multiple targets to alternate between across a long distance, thus lowering their accuracy and rate of fire.
Take out the turret in the right corner ahead and look beneath the walkway you’re on to clear out any remaining enemies, then drop to the ground below and continue moving forward.
Use the console on the next walkway in front of you to deactivate the first enormous shield barrier and take cover to start sniping the enemies in the distance ahead, then use grenades to eliminate the hostiles clustered together and continue forward in unison with your team.
Turn left towards the next ramp ahead to eliminate the approaching enemies and fight your way up onto the next platform above, then clear the immediate area and use the indicated console nearby to deactivate the second shield barrier.
Collect ammo from the rack in the left corner ahead and take cover to evade the incoming fire of the hovering airship in front of you until it departs, then approach the railing at the front of the platform and snipe the enemies below.
Drop onto the bridge below and make a right around the corner ahead to enter the canyon area, then take out the enemies hiding amongst the rocks on your left and continue moving towards the next objective marker.
Stay on the cliffs overlooking the canyon floor to maintain the advantageous higher-ground position and snipe the next wave of enemies ahead, then equip an automatic weapon and drop to the ground below to finish clearing the area.
Make your way towards the next objective marker to encounter the enemies armed with shields and take cover to eliminate them one-by-one with well-placed sniper shots.
Collect the supplies that have been dropped to equip more powerful weaponry, such as the rocket launcher, and use them to clear out the enemies in a more efficient manner.
Return to the cliffs behind you to secure a more advantageous sniping position and focus on eliminating the larger hostiles deployed by enemy aircraft, then take out the elite firing from the tower in the distance and continue pushing forward until the area is clear.
Approach the indicated generator past the enemy sniper tower and move around behind it to mark the target, then retreat to a safe distance to avoid the incoming air strike and make your way over towards the extraction point to complete this chapter.
Chapter 3: The Challenge
Move forward across the sandy cliffs to reach the edge and snipe the flying enemies surrounding the fort beneath you, then drop to the ground below and approach the nearby comm jammer.
Make your way behind the comm jammer to deactivate it using the rear panel and continue forward across the area in the direction of the next objective markers.
Approach whichever objective marker the largest group of your allies moves towards next and continue destroying the Watchers you see flying above.
Equip an automatic weapon and stay in close formation with the rest of your team to fend off the approaching wave of crawlers.
Destroy the flying Watcher enemies by retreating to a safe distance and sniping them from afar to avoid their laser-based attacks.
Find the turrets brought online by looking for the red-glowing orbs above and move in a circle around them while firing to destroy these mounted guns.
Climb the surrounding ramps to reach the objective markers above and deactivate the arrays or provide cover fire from the ground for your teammates to do the same.
Pick up the light rifle laying on the ground in the surrounding area to increase the damage you inflict and your overall accuracy when shooting down the Watchers.
After shutting down all of the arrays, head in the direction of the next map marker that appears to turn off the main power before the other team does and fight your way into the evac zone.
Stay close to your team and hunt down the remaining enemies in the area with your automatic rifle until the next supply drop, then equip a rocket launcher or bolt suppressor to quickly finish clearing the evac site and complete this chapter.
Chapter 4: Sacred
Make your way forward through the metal structure’s ruins and enter the corridor ahead on the left to continue in the direction of the on-screen objective marker.
Equip an automatic weapon and stay close to your teammates as you turn the next corner ahead to mow down the wave of approaching crawlers that suddenly appear.
Move backwards and aim for the crawlers heads to evade them while continuously firing your weapon.
Enter the next room ahead to climb the ramp on the left and approach the objective marker at the top to upload the data or turn around to protect one of your teammates so they can do the same.
Stand your ground and use grenades to quickly wipe out the next wave of crawlers that appear in front of you, then stick close to the rest of the team and move safely back down the previous ramp.
Take cover in the next room and use an automatic weapon to clear out another group of hostiles, then continue moving forward through the metallic structure and approach the objective marker to watch the exit door close in front of you.
Turn around the fend off the surrounding enemies and fight your way up the ramp on the right, then enter the cave at the top to approach the next objective marker and use grenades to quickly clear the path ahead.
Use the indicated consoles to unblock the passages around the corner ahead and collect ammo from the rack on your right, then continue towards the next ledge overlooking the area below and snipe the targets marked in red.
Focus on the destroying the flying machines first to prevent them from resurrecting the other enemies, t6hen move in unison with your team to hunt down the remaining targets and finish clearing the area.
Enter the adjacent corridor on the ledge above to reach the extraction point and complete this mission.
Chapter 5: Core
Head forward down the walkway to enter the cavern below and take a right at the next fork in the tunnel, then continue along the path to reach the outside area at the end.
Take cover behind one of the energy shields ahead and target the turret on the ledge above in the distance to destroy it first.
Move with your team across the area ahead and fight through the next wave of enemies to approach the ramp on the right.
Climb the ramp and clear out the hostiles in the back right corner on the platform above with the help of your grenades, then use the indicated console nearby to cause structural movement.
Make your way across towards the opposite end of the structure and fight past the next wave of enemies that have appeared by firing down on them from the balcony to the left or right.
Use the consoles on the balconies to open the doors ahead and drop to the next level below, then make your way forward into the base and mow down another wave of hostiles with an automatic weapon.
Head up the ramp on the left to take out the enemies at the top and collect munitions from the nearby gun rack, then approach the edge of the incline ahead to snipe another wave of hostiles below and on the ledges in the corners.
Continue moving forward to approach the next objective marker above and use the console to deactivate the shields, then make your way across to the opposite side of the area and pass through the holes in the rock wall.
Take out the flying enemies above first to prevent them from regenerating other hostiles, then continue clearing the area ahead and approach the next structure in the corner to the right.
Eliminate the enemies in front of the structure and at the top of the ramp on the right, then make your way up the incline and approach the next objective marker to use the indicated console.
After revealing the artifact, stay close to it and your teammates to fend off the next wave of invading enemies.
Look down into the area you came from below to continue fighting off the hostiles with the help of grenades and target the flying enemies first to prevent them from helping the others.
Use the weapons provided in the surrounding area to guard the artifact from the approaching hostiles and pick it up after the evac ship arrives to complete this chapter.
Chapter 1: Clean Up
Move forward up the path ahead and take cover behind the boulders you see on the right, then throw grenades over the energy shields in the corner to start clearing out the enemies.
Proceed forward along the right side wall to collect the weaponry and continue to eliminate the enemies still standing ahead, then make your way down the path in the corner and check the hill on the left for any remaining enemies.
Use a scoped rifle to take out the gunman on the wall in the far distance and continue around the left corner in the trail ahead to eliminate another wave of enemies.
Climb the hill beside you on the left and snipe another gunman sitting on the wall in the distance, then drop back into the trench below and help your team clear out the surrounding hostiles.
Take the rightmost path and take out the enemies surrounding the structure ahead, then fight your way up the ramp around the left corner and look towards the sky to eliminate the flying hostiles above.
Toss grenades through the opening in the structure on your right and fend off the next wave of oncoming enemies, then continue following the outer balcony around to the front of the structure and clear out the hostiles ahead.
Continue looking upwards to eliminate the flying enemies and climb the nearby ramp with your team to reach the next level above, then move forward at the top to snipe the turret hanging from the ceiling in the distance and fight through another group of hostiles.
Turn around to avoid being ambushed from behind and take cover to eliminate the next wave of enemies with the help of your team, then watch the surrounding windows for the hostiles that fly and head back down the previous incline.
Eliminate the hostiles around the front of the structure below and in the air above, then move down the ramp on the right and take out another overhead turrets.
Make your way towards the weapon icons that appear next to collect a rocket launcher or other high-powered gun, then continue eliminating the enemies in the surrounding area.
Finish clearing the area by staying close to the rest of your team and approach the incoming Pelican to complete this chapter.
Chapter 2: For Science
Use a scoped weapon to pick off the enemies in the far distance ahead of you and proceed forward in the direction of the current objective marker, then enter the cavern and make your way across the metal walkway on the right.
Equip an automatic weapon and continue to the right with your team in the direction of the red objective markers that appear next, then approach the group comm arrays and tart eliminating the enemies that guard them.
Throw grenades or use melee strikes to clear out the enemies and destroy the comm arrays until they have all been removed, then move back to the left side of cave area and take cover behind the rock formations to snipe the hostiles in the distance ahead.
Continue forward in the direction of the next objective marker to fight your up the next section of the structure ahead and discover that the scientists are missing, then use teamwork to defend the surrounding entry points to this area from the invading hostiles and collect any high-powered weaponry you can find nearby.
Head towards the next objective marker that appears to enter the next cave and approach the blue forcefield ahead, then pick off the turret on the ledge above to the right and use the indicated console to deactivate the shield.
Continue forward into the open cavern area and use grenades to break apart the cluster of enemies blocking the path ahead, then turn the right corner to approach the next objective marker and enter the cave illuminated by magma.
Stay close with your team to eliminate the group of enemies that drop down from the transport ship above and climb the rip in front of you, then use grenades to continue clearing the area at the top and complete this chapter.
Chapter 3: Hacksaw
Move forward across the dunes in the direction of the structure ahead to collect a shield and shotgun from the weapons cache, then make your way through the entrance to the maze on the right.
Navigate the maze of buildings by sprinting towards the openings in the structures and use your shotgun to take out the surrounding enemies at close-range, then take cover inside and eliminate the hostiles that approach from a distance.
Head towards the next objective marker to encounter the Hunters and toss grenades or use an automatic rifle to defeat them with the help of your team, then snipe the Ghost driver to commandeer this enemy vehicle.
Turn the left corner ahead to discover the group of trapped marines and take cover to open fire on the enemies that drop from the transport ship above, then finish clearing the area and equip a scoped weapon to pick off the hostiles on the ledges above.
Sprint towards the next area of enemy activity and approach the Wraith tank at close range to destroy it with a grenade., then climb one of the nearby ramps to walk along the upper ledges and fire down upon the hostiles you see below.
Stay on the move with your shield up to fend off the constant invasion of enemy forces and open fire them at close range with a shotgun or at a distance from behind cover, then search the surrounding area to collect high-powered weapons off the ground.
Move in close formation with the rest of your team to wipe out the enemy forces more efficiently and head towards the next objective marker that appears to climb the ramp inside one of the larger surrounding structures.
Pick up one of the indicated rocket launchers or laser cannons on the structure’s outer ledge and aim it towards the sky in the direction of the red objective markers, then wait for the Phantoms to hover momentarily above a single area and open fire repeatedly on the enemy vessel.
Fire in front of the Phantoms as they move across the sky to score successful hits and eventually destroy them or you can guard the entry points leading into this area from approaching enemies on foot to protect members of your as they fire rockets of their own.
Finish clearing the area and approach the indicated landing zone to complete this chapter.
Chapter 4: Pelican Down
Make your way through the canyon and enter the next trench you see on the left to approach the first objective marker, then take cover behind the nearby rock formations and proceed forward by sniping enemies off the surrounding ledges above.
Continue fighting your way around the path within the trench and toss various grenades to clear out the enemies ahead, then jump on top of the surrounding rock walls as soon as possible to shoot and move from the more advantageous high-ground.
Navigate the tops of the rock formations to cover your teammates from a higher position and continue moving in the direction of the next objective marker, then climb the metallic ramp in the corner ahead and use a sniper rifle to pick off the hostiles on the next set of ledges above.
Target the enemies in the turrets first to clear out the most dangerous threats and proceed forward across the walkway ahead, then use the ramps to climb up through the metallic structure and reach the objective marker at the top.
Approach the AA gun to disable it and turn in the direction of the next objective marker on the other side of the walkway, then snipe the enemies surrounding it and follow your team across it.
Move between the cover points ahead to fight your way across the walkway and climb the next ramp in the corner to approach the objective marker at the top, then deactivate the second AA gun and proceed forward through the metallic structure to encounter the hunters.
Defeat the hunters by using grenades and retreating to a distance for safe sniper shots, then use the corners as cover to clear the walkways above of all remaining enemies and wait for the next hostile transport ship to arrive.
Throw grenades directly beneath the transport ship to start eliminating the next wave of hostiles and back up around the corner behind you to take cover, then move as a unit with the rest of your team to track down and neutralize the remaining enemies.
Finish clearing the area and enter the indicated tunnel to complete this chapter.
Chapter 5: Gagarin
Move forward through the corridor and continue down the next tunnel in the corner ahead on the left to reach the chamber at the end, then approach the nearby objective marker and climb one of the ramps on either side of the room to reach the station above.
Use the indicated terminal to download the audio log and wait for the next two objective markers to appear, then drop back to the level below and approach the nearby hologram console to deactivate the piece of tech.
Back away from the tech to start fending off the approaching enemies and fight your way back through the corridors ahead, then climb the incline on the right in the next room and take control of the turret at the front of the platform.
Fire the turret to clear out the enemies on the surrounding ledges ahead and eliminate the flying machines first to prevent them from regenerating other hostiles, then climb the one of the ramps across the room and move along the jungle path leading to the right.
Sprint forward in the direction of the next objective marker ahead to encounter the scientists and turn around to defend the area from the enemies pouring into the room, then stay close to your team to survive this onslaught and use grenades to clear out the larger hostile groups.
Climb the ramps that lead to the bridge above the center of this area and approach the mechanical sphere device at the top, then eliminate the surrounding enemies and continue battling until the next objective marker appears.
Fight your way back towards the opposite end of this area and approach the objective marker to deactivate the next piece of tech, then head towards the indicated room and turn around to fend off the approaching wave of enemies with a sniper rifle.
Head towards the next objective marker that appears on the left to download another audio log and return to the bridge above that houses the mechanical sphere, then use grenades to help you eliminate the hostiles that surround it and deactivate the four pieces of nearby tech.
Stay close to the rest of your team on the bridge and turn in a continuous circle to fend off the enemies approaching from all sides, then drop to the ground below to finish clearing the area and wait for the next wave of hostiles to be marked.
Use the jungle trails running along the sides of the metallic structure to enter the adjacent cave areas and eliminate the remaining enemies to complete this episode.
Chapter 1: The VIP
Make your way forward to enter the quarry and use a scoped rifle to snipe the enemies in the area below, then use the rock wall beside you as cover and continue clearing out hostiles to proceed towards the objective marker.
Fight your way forward into the area below and take cover behind the surrounding UNSC crates, then head over to the bridge structure on the right and commandeer one of the turrets above.
Detach the turret and drop back to the ground below, then remove the remaining enemies in the nearby vicinity and acquire one of the indicated sniper rifles that have been deployed for you.
Use a sniper rifle to pick off the enemies on the cliffs above and continue to the left through the canyon, then find the dirt path leading uphill on the right and use it to continue in the direction of the objective marker above.
Arm the turret to fight your way up the side of the cliff and take cover to start tossing grenades at the groups of enemies being dropped off by the transport ships, then switch back to the skier rifle as you proceed forward and keep a safe distance from the hostiles ahead.
Take cover behind the surrounding obstacles to continue mowing down the enemies blocking the path and stay close to the rest of your team to survive this onslaught, then finish clearing the top of the cliffs and drop back to the ground below to start moving in the direction of the next objective marker.
Use a sniper rifle to scope out the indicated area through the canyon ahead and pick off the enemies that arrive from the left in the distance, then take cover behind the surrounding UNSC crates and eliminate the hostiles in the guard towers.
Make your way around the corner of the canyon ahead to continue in the direction of the next objective marker and locate the facility in the quarry below, then snipe the enemies in the area beneath you.
Move along the ridge to the left that looks down on the quarry facility and use the rocks as cover to continue picking off the hostiles in the surrounding area below, then fight your way down towards the next objective marker and enter the nearby Scorpion tank.
Should the tank you’re in come under too much fire, jump out of the driver’s seat to avoid being killed and find another Scorpion inside the nearby structure.
Swivel the tank’s cannon around to clear the surrounding area of enemies and drive around the quarry to destroy the guard towers, then wait for the next objective marker to appear and look towards the skies above.
Use the tank to shoot down the oncoming enemy transport ships and back the Scorpion up onto one of the surrounding sand hills to fire at hostiles from a safe distance, then clear out the ground troops that are deployed and destroy the Wraith as soon as they appear.
If your Scorpion is destroyed during the battle, enter the another one located around the structure at the center of quarry or climb atop the building and use the turrets above to continue protecting the area.
Should the turrets or Scorpions be occupied by teammates, acquire a scoped weapon and position yourself on the ridges that surround the area to pick off the enemy ground troops that are deployed continuously.
Approach Wraiths on foot, when their cannons are pointed away from you, and execute a grenade attack to destroy these enemy vehicles.
Finish clearing the area of all remaining enemies and approach the Pelican when it lands to complete this mission.
Chapter 2: Galileo
Move down the trail on your left and use a scoped rifle to open fire on the enemies in the surrounding buildings ahead, then enter the first structure on the left and clear the first floor with the help of a few grenade tosses.
Approach the power generator in the back right corner of the room to deactivate it and turn back around to defend yourself from another wave of approaching enemies, then exit the building and move towards the next nearest objective marker.
Use an automatic rifle and grenades to fight past the enemies that guard the surrounding structures, then search the buildings for gun racks and refill your munitions to continue the battle throughout.
In order to eliminate the groups of enemies inside each building quickly and safely, move as a unit with the rest of your team to even the odds and travel across the area without much difficulty.
Continue clearing the rooms around the facility to safely access and deactivate the remaining generators in the area, then climb one of the ramps inside the buildings to reach the level above and use the connecting bridges to reach the surrounding structures with more ease.
Use a scoped rifle from a distance to help clear out the last building with an active generator inside of it and enter this structure via one of the upper level bridges, then approach the objective marker and shut down the last power source in the area.
Stay on the upper level bridges to fight past another wave of enemies dropped off by transport ships and wait for the next objective markers to appear, then approach the sides of the indicated buildings and climb onto their roofs.
Clear the enemies from the marked rooftops and approach the indicated defense turret to activate it, then repeat this action on another building or help clear out the remaining hostiles in the area.
Stay on the rooftops to defeat the last wave of enemies deployed below by firing on them with a rocket launcher or scoped rifle to complete this mission.
Chapter 3: Spartan Mountain
Make your way forward through the valley and pick off the snipers on the surrounding rocks, then follow the paths or streams ahead to reach the crash site on the ridge above.
Stay close to your team to approach the downed ship and use a scoped rifle to eliminate the wave of approaching hostiles, then take cover beneath the crash and toss grenades to wipe out the larger groups of enemies.
Wait for your next objective to be issued and head back down the previous path to approach the shield generator beside the turret you cleared earlier on the hill above, then deactivate the indicated device and wait for the blue forcefield on the left to disappear.
Approach the next transport ship that arrives to deploy enemies and toss grenades into the hostile group that descends to start clearing them out, then make your way towards the current red objective marker and destroy the indicated comm jammer.
Equip a rocket launcher if possible to defeat the larger enemies that arrive and approach the next transport ship that descends in the field nearby, then climb atop one of rocks overlooking that area and snipe the new wave of hostiles.
Wait for your next objective to be issued, then drop down into the battle in the field below and commandeer a Ghost to help clear out the surrounding hostiles.
Drive your Ghost towards the next objective marker to approach the tower in the near distance and take cover behind the surrounding rocks to avoid the enemy tank fire, then sprint over to the Wraith on foot and use a grenade to destroy it.
Approach the indicated consoles against the mountainsides on either side of the tower and use them to deactivate the structure’s forcefield, then move through the building’s rear entrance and descend the ramp to eliminate the hostiles in the room below.
Retreat while firing to eliminate the enemies armed with swords that rush towards you and make your way onto the upper level next to wipe out another group of hostiles, then move around the outside of the tower and finish clearing the area.
After the last enemy is eliminated, return to the bottom floor of the tower to approach the next objective marker and wait to activate the indicated device.
Exit the room through the doorway on the right to approach the next objective marker by the waterfall and turn around to watch the ball of energy launch into the air, then return to the upper level of the tower and aim your sniper rifle towards the transport ship that lands in the field across from you.
Use your sniper rifle to pick off the approaching wave of enemies and toss grenades the closer they get to eliminate the clustered groups or the larger more heavily-armed hostiles, then finish clearing the area and approach the next objective marker that appears at the previous crash site to complete this mission.
Chapter 4: Shootout in Valhalla
Move forward from the tower to cross the river and commandeer the ghost parked behind the boulder ahead on the right, then drive it out towards the left to eliminate the enemies approaching down the field and approach the nearest objective marker behind you.
Activate the indicated auto-turret and wait for it to clear the area ahead, then jump back into the Ghost and proceed forward across the field in the direction of the next objective marker.
Dismount from the Ghost to activate an auto-turret at the top of the next hill ahead and continue driving forward to approach the tower on the opposite side of the field, then activate a third turret and turn back around to face the enemies being dropped off by transport ships.
Use the Ghost to enter the battle towards the center of the area and eliminate the surrounding enemies with gunfire or by running over them, then keep your distance to avoid being hijacked and stay on the move to evade damage.
If your Ghost is destroyed during the battle, approach the crash site to get on top of the downed ship and continue sniping the enemies in the surrounding area below.
Continue eliminating the enemy ground troops until the Wraiths arrive, then take cover near its location and wait for it to turn away from you before jumping onto the hull to plant a grenade.
Use your map to move across the battlefield and hunt down the enemies that remain to clear them out, then acquire an energy sword and attack the larger hostiles from behind with it.
Make your way towards the next objective marker that appears to climb the hill at the center of the battlefield and activate a cut scene, then approach the Mantises that are deployed to pilot one of them.
Immediately point the Mantis’ guns into the air to start shooting down the Banshees and stay close to the other mechs to work as team, then approach the nearest transport ship that arrives to attack it and the enemy ground troops it deploys.
To pilot new Mantises, if the one you’re currently in is destroyed, return to the area where you first piloted one and look for an empty mech to commandeer.
Continue firing upon the Banshees and vehicle transport ships circling the air above until all threats have been neutralized, then hunt down the remaining ground troops and Wraiths to finish clearing the area.
Use the Mantises to continue defending the area from both ground and airborne hostiles until the next objective marker appears, then head towards it to reach the extraction point behind the tower.
Look into the sky behind the tower to start shooting down an oncoming wave of Banshees, vehicle transports and the mothership in the distance above, then work as a team with the other Mantises to finish neutralizing all remaining threats and complete this chapter.
Chapter 5: Hunting Trip
Make your way forward up the path in front of you and use a scoped rifle to start picking off the enemies jumping towards you in the distance, then take cover behind the rocks on the right and eliminate the hostile manning the turret atop the rock ahead.
Continue forward through the canyon to eliminate the enemy in the tower to your left and eliminate the approaching enemies to approach the right side of the structure ahead.
Eliminate the turrets on the ledges above as you climb the ramp and stay with your team to continue taking out the hostiles on the next level above, then approach the next incline at the front of the structure and disable the turret at the top with grenades.
Move up the incline to reach the area above and toss a few grenades to clear out the enemies ahead, then hop into the nearby turret and use it to continue eliminating the hostiles marked with a red icon.
Finish clearing the area and search the surrounding area to refill your supplies, then return to the top of the previous incline and use a scoped rifle to zoom in on the enemies deployed by the transport ship in the distance ahead.
Make your way back down the incline as you snipe the oncoming wave of enemies and throw grenades the closer they get to clear them out more easily, then hop into one of the nearby turrets to save on ammo and watch the tower to the left for ascending hostiles.
Fall back with your team to hold off the enemies that manage to reach the upper levels of the structure you’re on and maintain an elevated position over the hostiles to keep the advantage during battle.
Repeat the previous steps to continue fighting off the invasion as more transport ships arrive to deploy enemies and refill your supplies on the uppermost level of the structure to avoid running out of ammo.
Open fire as a unit with the rest of your team and toss grenades consistently to eliminate the larger enemies that are deployed, then prepare for the next invasion by dropping to the ground below and acquiring one of the indicated rocket launchers that have been left for you.
Return to the top of the structure to refill your ammo and use the rocket launcher to clear out the larger hostiles that arrive next on the level below, then switch back to a rifle for eliminating the smaller enemies and toss grenades into the groups clustered together.
Pick off enemies as they are launched onto the upper levels of the structure and refill your ammo as much as possible throughout the battles, then use a rocket launcher to shoot down the transport ships hovering on either side of the building and finish clearing the area from an elevated position.
Evacuate the structure and approach the Pelican that lands ahead in the distance to complete this chapter.
Chapter 1: Hairy Call
Move forward to take out the fleeing enemies in front of you and continue up the trail ahead, then make your way out around the next corner to take out the hostile in the turret above and the ones on the ground in the distance.
Use a scoped rifle to continue eliminating enemies as you proceed down the trail on your left and pick off the ones posted on the surrounding rocks above, then take out another turret in the distance ahead and follow the path around the next right corner.
Toss grenades to help clear out the hostiles on the rocks above to your left and blocking the trail directly in front of you, then turn the next corner in the path ahead to eliminate another turret on the structure in the distance.
Aim your scoped rifle at the platforms even further in the distance to snipe the two enemies above and continue moving forward to climb the ramp leading onto the structure.
Collect the ammo at the top of the ramp and turn left to start moving across the structure, then use your scoped rifle to pick off the enemies on the ledges above and climb one of the next inclines ahead.
Take cover behind the purple shields in front of you at the top of the ramp and continue taking out the enemies ahead by moving from side-to-side across the width of the structure.
Toss grenades to clear out the groups of hostiles ahead and proceed forward across the structure to reach the ramps at the end, then make your way up the inclines to activate the glowing control panel at the top and turn right.
Make your way around the right side of the structure to encounter the enemy transport ship that descends, then rush towards each of the hostiles deployed to eliminate them quickly and head left to activate the indicated monitor.
Finish clearing the area and look out towards the next objective marker that appears, then use the scoped rifle to pick off the enemies deployed from another transport ship in the distance and start fighting your way back across the structure.
Stick close to your teammates and toss grenades to eliminate the larger hostiles that approach, then continue moving in the direction of the current objective marker to leave the structure and encounter another enemy transport ship.
Jump across the tops of the rocks in the canyon below to maintain an elevated position and eliminate the next wave of enemies beneath you, then follow the path out of the area to encounter yet another transport ship and toss grenades to clear out the enemies that are deployed.
Take cover behind the surrounding boulders to evade the enemy airship firing upon you from the right, then finish clearing the area of all remaining ground hostiles and approach the Pelican that lands to complete this mission.
Chapter 2: Rally Point
Move forward across the battlefield in the direction of the base in the distance and use a scoped rifle to start picking off the enemies in the surrounding area ahead.
Follow the path leading around the right side of the base and look down towards your left to continue eliminating the hostiles below.
Use your scoped rifle to destroy the flying machines hovering above the upper level of the base to prevent them from regenerating other enemies.
Descend from the rocks looking down on the area with the rest of your team and move around behind the base to finish clearing out the remaining hostiles in this wave.
Enter the base to complete the current objective and refill your ammo as you wait for the next incoming transmission.
Head towards the next objective marker that appears to reach the rear tower and approach from a distance to eliminate the enemies that start to emerge with your scoped rifle.
Approach the Warthogs at the top of the hill in front of the rear tower and enter the turret to start mowing down the invading hostiles with more efficiency.
Wait for someone to take control of the Warthog or jump into the driver’s seat yourself, then use the vehicle to help destroy the enemy tanks that arrive next and run over the forces on the ground whenever possible.
Drive in a circle around the other base in this area to continue mowing down enemies or exit the vehicle to help clear the building on foot with grenades or your scoped rifle.
Approach the enemy transports that descend to destroy that tanks they deploy with a Warthog’s turret or by moving in on foot and planting a grenade.
Finish clearing out the enemy waves, then approach the next pair of objective markers that appear over the base and move onto the building’s upper level.
Use the indicated consoles to activate the portal and complete this chapter.
Chapter 3: Random Transport
Fire on the surrounding enemies as soon as you land and drop into the area below to get out of the open, then continue taking out the hostiles and find other members of your team to gain an advantage.
Equip a scoped rifle or toss grenades to take out the enemies hiding behind shields avoid climbing the ramps to stay protected by the surrounding walls.
Enter one of the surrounding structures to acquire new and more powerful weaponry, such as the rocket launcher, then take cover using the barricades and corners outside to finish clearing the area.
Make your way towards the next objective marker that appears and use teamwork with grenade tosses to eliminate the larger enemies waiting ahead.
Approach the next objective marker to activate the com device and collect weaponry from the nearby cache, then wait for the next enemy transport ship to arrive and clear out the enemies deployed with a grenade toss or your rocket launcher.
Wait for the next objective marker to appear and approach the largest structure at the area’s center to climb the ramp inside, then look over the edge of the platform above and equip a scoped rifle to fire down on the next wave of enemies below.
Move around to the opposite end of the platform to climb another incline and activate the console at the top to open the portal, then look down towards the next two objective marker that appears and continue eliminating hostiles to help your team.
Drop back to the ground below and enter one of the nearby structures to acquire a shotgun, then use this weapon to fight through the hostiles armed with swords and reach one the next objective markers.
Activate the indicated consoles at the tops of the surrounding ramps, then return to the larger structure at the center of the area and use grenades to help you clear out the larger hostiles that stand in your way.
Climb the ramp inside the larger structure and equip your shotgun to eliminate the enemies waiting above, then look down over the edge of the platform and use a scoped rifle to clear out the remaining enemies in the area below.
Make your way up the next two ramps above to enter the portal at the top and complete this mission.
Chapter 4: The Chase
Move into the cavern ahead and use the walls of the entrance as cover to eliminate the enemies behind the barricades in front of you, then pick off the remaining hostiles with your scoped rifle and proceed forward,
Make your way towards the next objective marker by navigating the structure below and use the surrounding obstacles as cover to eliminate the enemies blocking the path, then wait for a transport ship to deploy hostiles in the area below and clear them out with grenades.
Stay in the advantageous elevated position to finish picking off the enemies beneath you with a scoped rifle, then sprint towards the next closest objective marker to reach the indicated console at the top of a ramp.
Eliminate the enemies surrounding the indicated console and use it to start opening the doors, then descend into the red-lit area below to activate the second console and clear out another wave of hostiles.
Head towards the next objective marker that appears and use a scoped rifle for eliminating the flying machines above to prevent them from regenerating the other hostiles.
Take out the laser turrets on either side of the ramp leading towards the next objective marker, then approach the incline to encounter a larger hostile and another enemy transport ship.
Use grenades to take out the larger enemy and approach the top of the ramp to duck behind cover, then eliminate the ground troops that have arrived in the distance below and strike down the hostiles that approach at close range with melee attacks.
Make a right towards the blue forcefield to approach the edge of the structure and toss grenades into the area below to start clearing out another wave of enemies, then use a scoped rifle to finish picking off the remaining hostiles.
Continue using grenades and your scoped rifle to descend towards the pit of lava within the cavern below, then approach the objective marker slowly and stand back at a distance to avoid the series of explosions that erupt from the ground.
Turn right to eliminate the enemies above and climb the incline to open fire on the flying machines at the top, then pick up a laser sword to take out the larger hostiles in the area by sprint back and forth between them.
Climb the adjacent ramp to finish clearing the area, then approach the next objective marker to pick up the indicated object and complete this mission.
Chapter 5: The Didact’s Gift
Move forward to drop to ground on your left and enter the structure behind you to acquire a scoped rifle, then move towards the next objective marker to ascend the structure ahead and enter the room at the top on the right.
Take cover by the windows in the room and look out through them to start mowing down the enemies that arrive in the area below, then toss grenades to destroy the Ghosts or snipe the drivers out of their seats.
You can acquire a rocket launcher on the rack across from the open doorway in the corner for eliminating the enemy vehicles.
Make your way to the right across the room and exit through the opening in the corner, then descend the ramp to continue eliminating hostiles and commandeer one of the abandoned Ghosts below.
Finish clearing out the first wave of enemies and take cover inside one of the buildings to avoid the gunfire from the transport ship that arrives next, then use the Ghost you commandeered to help clear out the next group of ground forces deployed or return to the structure above to regain the advantageous high ground.
You can also use a scoped rifle to pick off the enemies manning the turret on the transport ships that arrive and reduce friendly casualties.
Toss grenades or fire your rocket launcher into the clustered groups of enemies deployed at once and use a scoped rifle to eliminate any survivors.
Acquire a sniper rifle to pick off the shielded enemies that are deployed at the top of the structure in the distance and stay on the move to avoid the hostiles that approach at close-range.
Return to the rack where you first acquired the rocket launcher to now collect a shotgun, then travel around the bridges connecting the structures together and eliminate the enemies occupying these areas.
Stay close to other members of your team and sweep the area as a group to increase the chances of survival.
Use your map to locate the enemies hiding inside the structures or firing down on you from distant perches, then continue approaching the transport ships that arrive to eliminate the groups of hostiles before they have a chance to scatter into various hiding places.
Commandeer another Ghost or use explosive weaponry to eliminate the larger hostiles that arrive, then approach the next objective marker that appears to activate the indicated console and reroute power to the base defenses.
Equip your rocket launcher to finish clearing out the remaining ground forces and wait for the base’s defense system to destroy the transport ships in the air above, then approach the next objective marker that appears to reach the indicated console and clear out the enemies in the room with grenade tosses.
Approach the indicated console to activate the reactor and exit the room, then commandeer a Ghost to track down the remaining enemies in the area and eliminate them to complete this mission.
Chapter 1: Spartan Miller
Move through the opening in the rocks ahead to ascend the structure beyond and approach the next objective marker above, then enter the room on the second story of building and collect the weaponry within.
Look out through the doorways in the room to eliminate the enemies as they ascend the ramps leading up to the building, then focus on destroying the flying machines above and prevent them from regenerating other hostiles.
Finish clearing out the wave of enemies and wait for the next objective marker to appear, then drop back to the ground below and approach the indicated console to activate the equipment.
Return to the previous building to man one of its surrounding turrets and mow down the enemies that try to destroy the señor you just activated, then take out the flying machines to prevent them from regenerating other hostiles and continue defending the area.
Toss grenades at the enemies that manage to move within close range of the sensors or sprint down towards them to take out the hostiles with melee strikes and well-placed head shots.
Stay close by your teammates and take down the larger enemies in unison to increase kill efficiency, then stand next to the sensors as the number of hostiles grows and toss grenades or fire an automatic rifle to break up the invasion.
Make your way back to the second story of the building and enter the room to approach the next objective marker, then activate the indicated equipment and finish clearing hostiles from the area.
Afterwards, climb to the top of the building and enter the portal that appears to complete this mission.
Chapter 2: Nothing Can Go Wrong
Chapter 3: Everything Has Gone Wrong
Sprint forward out of the cave area to cross the structure ahead and take cover behind the surrounding columns to eliminate the enemies blocking your path, then look down over the edge beside you and equip a scoped rifle to take out the hostiles below.
Continue across the structure to reach the forest cave on the other side and drop to the ground below, then turn left to eliminate any incoming enemies and move beneath the tree bridge behind you
Descend the ramp to reach the ground below and approach the forcefield on the left, then turn around to eliminate any approaching hostiles and move up the next incline beside you.
Clear out the enemies at the top of the ramp and collect new weaponry from the nearby rack, then fire down from the structure you’re on to eliminate the hostiles on the ground below.
Take out the hostiles in the distance ahead with a scoped rifle and wait for the next objective marker to appear, then approach the previous forcefield and use a quick burst of gunfire to destroy it.
Move through the corridor ahead to reach the next open room and climb the ramp in the corner, then eliminate the invisible enemies at the top with grenades and a shotgun if possible.
Stay close by other members of your team to ambush each of the invisible enemies and clear the upper and lower levels in this room, then detach one of the nearby turrets and head towards the next objective marker that appears.
Stand with your back to the indicated area to defend it and use the detached turret to mow down the next wave of invading hostiles, then make your way into the landing zone and equip a shotgun to eliminate the larger enemies at close range.
Work as a team and use a scoped rifle to take out the groups of smaller shielded enemies, then use grenades or detach another turret on the surrounding ledges to eliminate the larger hostiles that appear in the last wave and finish clearing the area to complete this mission.
Chapter 4: The Cauldron Base
Enter the turret of the Warthog in front of you and wait for a teammate to enter the drivers’ seat or vice versa, then make your way through the cave tunnels below to head towards the objective markers that appears.
If you’re driving the warthog, don’t stop until you reach the indicated base and run over as many enemies blocking the road as possible.
If you’re in the turret, keep the barrel facing forward to help clear the road ahead and focus gunfire primarily on enemies that approach the vehicle too closely.
After reaching the indicated base, collect new weaponry from the surrounding racks and approach the next transport ship that lands to start eliminating the enemies deployed.
Use a scoped rifle to pick off hostiles from a distance or sprint towards the groups of enemies to eliminate them with melee strikes, then continue moving back and forth the base to clear the area.
You can also remain in the Warthog to clear the base with limited mobility in this space or use the turret atop the building in the right corner ahead to fire down on the enemies that arrive.
Approach the next orange objective marker that appears to activate an auto-turret and allow it to cover two of the entry point into the base, then make your way over to one of the unguarded ramps and open fire on the enemies approaching from above or below.
Toss grenades to thin out the groups of enemies deployed from the transport ships and back up to pick off the remaining ones with your scoped rifle, then lead the larger hostiles that arrive in front of the auto-turrets and run backwards to open fire on them as you go.
Finish defending the area and head towards the next objective marker that appears above to activate the indicated device, then return to the base to complete this mission.
Chapter 5: Spartan Thorne
Collect weaponry from the surrounding gun racks and man the turret in front of the line of sandbags on the left to mow down the enemies ahead in the distance, then move to the sandbags on the right and use a sniper rifle to do the same.
Snipe an enemy out of a Ghost’s driver seat and sprint across the battlefield to commandeer this vehicle, then use it to clear out the surrounding hostiles nearby and other enemy transports.
Equip a scoped rifle and aim it towards the next red icon that appears to eliminate the enemy sniper, then head towards the blue objective at the top of the hill to clear out the surrounding hostiles with grenades and an automatic weapon.
Collect a grenade launcher from the fallen Covenant to fire down upon the next wave of hostiles and enemy vehicles, then drop into the canyon below and approach a Wraith tank on foot to commandeer it.
Allow a teammate to enter the turret seat of the Wraith, then use the red map icons to track down and eliminate the remaining enemies in the area.
If you do commandeer a Wraith, drive it towards the next enemy transport ship that lands and fire on the vessel repeatedly until it explodes.
Finish clearing out the initial wave of enemies and proceed forward through the canyon in the direction of the next blue objective marker that appears, then continue mowing down the enemies in your path and commandeer another vehicle if necessary.
Fight your way over to the current objective marker and flip the ATV over to enter the driver’s seat, then allow a teammate to jump on the back and drive back the way you came to encounter another wave of enemies deployed from transport ships.
Enter one of the Ghosts or Wraiths parked around the base that’s located at lowest level of the canyon and continue to clear out the surrounding enemy forces, then use your the red on-screen marker to track down and eliminate the remaining hostiles.
If you cannot commandeer a vehicle, equip a sniper rifle and approach the deployed hostile groups from a distance to pick them off one-by-one.
Make your way towards the next objective marker that appears to reach the supply drop and acquire a Spartan laser, then use this weapon to effectively eliminate enemy vehicles.
Finish clearing out the last wave of enemies by commandeering a vehicle to quickly eliminate the larger ones, then drive to the indicated landing zone and wait for the Pelican’s arrival to complete this mission.
