The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is definitely one of the most successful releases of this generation: the game managed to make the whole series more known and successful to the general public. With the game being so popular and with all the recent additions brought in by new title updates, it’s time that we cover the many aspects of the game. The amount of stuff to do in the game is truly overwhelming: adventuring and battling are only the tip of the iceberg. To truly succeed in Skyrim you will require a deep knowledge of all its gameplay elements and here we are, ready to guide you while we delve deeper in everything the game has to offer.
However before getting to the more advanced stuff we will be covering some of the basics of the game for all those who are just starting the game and are feeling a bit confused at all the gameplay options offered by Skyrim. After we’re done with the basics we will be covering everything else so that even advanced players will find something useful in these Skyrim guides.
This may seem obvious but there are times gamers forget that they can save anywhere in the game. And if the option is there, use it! It’s really important to save before some hard encounters for a few reasons: you won’t have to start over again if you die while fighting the boss of a dungeon; even if you die fighting against the boss you’ll now know what to do to defeat it without having to go through the whole dungeon again. Enemies already defeated will also drop different loot. Another good time to save is before picking a master or expert lock so that if you lose all your lock picks you can reload and try again.
This one is also quite obvious but important to note: make use of all your resources. All the items you will find in your quest can be used in some way or another: using them will also help you level up some skills like smithing. Picking up all the items you can find will also help you completing some quests requiring you to find items: by already having them you’ll get some quests easily completed.
