The first of several challenges for the King's Fall Raid in Destiny: The Taken King has been enabled in the game after this morning's reset. Bungie quietly added the new challenge without making announcements, and players who hovered their cursor over the King's Fall Raid were the first to notice it.
It's called the Warpriest Challenge and involves completing the boss fight against the Warpriest in two aura phases and a few other requirements.
According to players who've already completed the challenge, rewards include a guaranteed drop from the encounter at 310 for normal, and 320 for hard mode. Players will also receive a 310 artifact for normal and hard, a calcified fragment, and the "Worm God's Servant" emblem.
Once you reach the Warpriest, the Fireteam must have multiple designated Aura holders. Switch aura holders between phases.
No Guardian can hold the aura more than once in the entire fight.
Guardians can die during the fight. It will not disqualify them from winning the challenge.
The Warpriest does not need to be beaten within two phases. You can beat him in the usual three. If you beat him in three phases, you'll need three separate Guardians to hold the aura.
The rest of the challenges are expected to be enabled throughout the month of December, rotating each week thereafter. Future challenges will involve Oryx and Golgoroth.
