Watch Dogs QR Code Locations

While playing through Watch Dogs, you’ll also carry out investigations. Once you spot your first QR Code, you can start the search for messages and Audio Log locations, where Giggles leaves QR Codes for you. They may seem like black and white scrambles squares, but each QR Code is part of a larger code consisting of 2 or 3 pieces, which will provide the message. Spotting the QR Code locations and hacking them needs to be done from afar courtesy of a security camera, rather than standing at the location scratching your head wondering what to do. This way you’ll align the QR Code pieces properly and see the message as a whole. There is a list of 16 QR Codes to find in Watch Dogs and you can check your progress in the Progression Wheel under the Investigations/QR Codes menu.

The easiest way to track down the codes is to access all ctOS control centres and ctOS towers, then follow the guiding symbols that appear on the world map. But sometimes even that can be confusing, so we’ve got a walkthrough to finding Watch Dogs QR Codes here for you.

Pawnee
QR Code 1
You’ll spot the first QR Code at the entrance of a tunnel southwest of the construction bridge, along the main road to Pawnee. By going across the bridge you will find a camera west of the construction area, you use it to look at the billboard ahead and read the second QR Code.

Parker Square
QR Code 2
Locate the blue and white flags and American flag across the main street in Parker Square and you’ll see the first part of this QR Code. On the northeast corner of the theatre you will find a camera, hack it to look across the road and align the code on the concrete building. You can find the other part on the roof of that building.

QR Code 3
Once you have found the Pharmacy Shop south of Parker Square, head to the north-south alleyway just west of it. There is a camera fixed to a stone building on the west wall of the alley, which lets you to see the QR Code at the north end of the alleyway. You’ll find the next part on the roof of the access area, read it and download the Audio Log “Giggles” has left for you.

The Wards
QR Code 4
Approach the river lock gates at the northeast end of the Wards, south of the river from Parker Square. Here you’ll be able to stand on the concrete jetty and check the southwest-facing camera to see the dam walls, container stacks….and the QR Code!

QR Code 5
Arrive at the gun shop in the Wards’ main street and look east so the buildings are on the right. You should be able to see a “bulb” camera on the corner of the apartment, which will let you see the QR Code on the concrete building rooftop. The second part of this QR Code is found on a brick apartment, using the same camera.

Brandon Docks
QR Code 6
Once on the north island, head to the Parkfield L-train station and find the mooring docks west of there. By looking down a side road, facing north, you can see the Willis Tower and a metal warehouse. Continue by looking across the street and seeing a similar building with the Racine insignia on it. You’ll be able to hack a camera on the east side of the street and bring the QR Code together.

QR Code 7
By travelling north of a ctOS tower amongst the Brandon Docks, you will find a bridge that spans across the river running south to the pool. When standing on the bridge you’ll see a camera on the corner of a blue office building in the west, hack it to read the QR codes affixed to the Tidis factory walls.

QR Code 8
Get to the Rhodes L-train station in the centre of Brandon Docks and stand below the elevated tracks. To read the QR Code here you’ll need to hack the camera on the brick building north of where you’re standing. Use this camera to view the codes at the base of chimneys and factory area in the west, then pan it across the area with large concrete pipes running through it.

QR Code 9
Go towards the bridge linking the Brandon Docks and the docks peninsula, but don’t get on the bridge! Spot a “bulb” camera on the southeast corner of the petrol station instead and find the first QR Code beside two large blue cranes in the southwest. The next code is affixed to a pair of big warehouses, which you’ll need to hack Giggles’ message.
