GTA V Online Rare Cars Guide

When you play a game titled Grand Theft Auto, expect to steal many Auto, or cars as they’re called in English. But there isn’t much fun in stealing the common or old cars is there? With Rockstar’s open world of GTA Online there are a number of locations and opportunities to add new cars to your collection, of all types and sizes ranging from bikes to trucks. What many players love doing however is stealing the rare cars of GTA Online, so they can drive around the map in something original. Be careful when you enjoy your car though, in public online sessions other people will notice your rare car a mile off and try to take it from you. Arm yourself with a good gun and plenty of amo to give yourself a chance of getting the new find back to your garage in GTA Online. If you’re up for the challenge of collecting and defending some rare cars in GTA Online, we’ve compiled a list of 5 of the most coveted rare GTA cars and locations to help you get a head start. The time it will take you will be worth the reactions you get as you cruise around the streets in a rare car no one else has yet, a bit like when your first friend shows off their new Xbox One or PS4. GTA Online rare car – Karin Sultan

When you decide to hunt down and steal a Karin Sultan, you will put yourself at an advantage by taking a sports car with you. In GTA Online the type of car you drive influences what types of car spawn around you. Driving large vehicles such as trucks and vans will encourage similarly large vehicles to spawn, whereas driving sports cars will increase the number of other sports cars that spawn. So once you have a sports car at the ready, drive to the Sandy Shores area in the northern part of the map. Driving along the highway circling the edge of the map will also encourage Karin Sultans to appear too.

Rare GTA Online car – Sabre Turbo

As a muscle car itself, you’ll have a better chance of locating a Sabre Turbo by taking a muscle car on your hunt. However when it comes to the Sabre Turbo, the importance lies in playing a private online session as opposed to a public one. Generally speaking, fewer cars appear in public online sessions than private ones and this is certainly true of the Sabre Turbo. With a brilliant acceleration rate and good top speed, the time it will take to locate a Sabre Turbo spawn will be saved by the super speedy driving you’ll be able to do afterwards. Of course, while pedestrians stare at your in awe.

GTA Online rare car - Ocelot Jackal 

In order to hunt this rare GTA car, you’ll need to cruise around the Rockford Hills, Richman, Vinewood and Vespucci Beach locations. This search may take a few attempts to be successful, that’s because cars don’t automatically spawn when you approach a spawn location. To encourage a car spawn you will need to move away from the location and return, which may take multiple tries but it will eventually work. The best location to find this rare car is the Vespucci Beach, so try there first and move onto the others if you get bored. That way there will always be a new location where a spawn might have occurred in your absence.

Rare GTA Online car - Vapid Bobcat XL

For the Vapid Bobcat XL rare GTA car, you will need to hop in one of your trucks or vans and drive towards the south of the map. More specifically Elysian Island would be a good location to start your search, but you will have better luck driving along the motorway. A great piece of advice when searching for GTA rare cars is to take your hunt to the highway or motorway. Alongside the likelihood of a vehicle appearing, the highway has a high frequency of cars. So if a car has a 10% chance of appearing, you will see 100 cars on the highway in less time than anywhere else, which means you’ll see that 10% quicker too. The Vapid Bobcat XL is a rare truck, which comes in two types; one has a closed bed and the other an open bed. The closed bed version of the Vapid Bobcat XL is rarer, if you see both definitely go for that. The added protection is a bonus, but being rarer makes it infinitely cooler too.

GTA Online rare car - Sultan RS

The Sultan RS is a car that requires modifying to officially have, but that won’t be a problem if you survive the journey to the car customs in Los Santos. Before you start your search, remember you need to be looking out for average Sultans, not the boosted RS version. When looking for it, drive an average sized car to encourage the desired car to spawn, the Sultan is certainly not a truck! The best location to find a Sultan, keeping in mind that it will take a few attempts, is in the prison car park by Trevor’s house.
