How to fix Party Stabilization issues on the Xbox Destiny Beta

At 10am (UK time) the Destiny Beta returned from it’s pre-planned maintenance down time, and arrived for the first time on Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. However, similarly to the errors faced on the arrival of the Destiny Beta on PS3 and PS4, Xbox fans have also been experiencing their share of aggravating errors.

Teething problems should always be expected and taken with a pinch of a salt when entering any upcoming releases beta, and these periods are specifically set so that the developers can eliminate bugs such as these. So if you’re facing these Party Stabilization Errors on the Xbox, follow on as Bungie have released acknowledgements of this error alongside some tips on how to fix them.

The issues faced during the upcoming sci-fi shooter’s beta, arise as players are aiming to access the PvP online mode with other Xbox One users. When Microsoft fans head into this online mode, they are presented with a ‘party stabilization’ error. Fortunately a temporary solution has been announced, meaning that we’re not left with our only second option – launching our controllers through our TV screens in a pricey rage. Just in the nick of time Bungie!

This morning, shortly after the reopening of the Beta, the Bungie Help twitter account released a statement to those facing issues in the gameplay. Stating, that if your encountering these Party Stabilization errors on the Xbox One, turning off the console, completely unplugging the power, and finally reconnecting and rebooting the game, should offer a fix for this. Please note, that if you’ve got your Xbox One console set to the default power setting, it doesn’t really ‘turn off’ but simply enters a stand by mode which draws power enabling it to automatically update games and other functions in the background. Which is why Bungie have specified unplugging the console itself to aid with the fixes. Alternatively, if you hold down the power button for approximately 10 seconds it will perform a hard reset which will work similarly to unplugging the power.

The Beta phase ends this Sunday 27th July with Destiny’s release date set for September 9th 2014 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
