Destiny: Mars Gold Loot Chest locations Walkthrough Guide

Bungie's latest release, Destiny includes lots of collectibles in addition to the action packed first person shooting gameplay. Our favorite so far are the gold loot chests as they don’t just unlock an achievement but they also offer instant gratification by providing the hidden rare loot that is contained within. This article aims to help you locate these gold crates and also get special hidden loot along the way. There are five Gold loot chests in each area, and these areas are the Earth, Moon, Mars, Venus and the Tower. Follow our guide and you will be able to find all of the chests in each area:

Mars:

1. The Barrens
This chest can be found next to the Cabal outpost near the Scablands area. If you enter this area from The Barrens landing area, the Gold loot crate should be easier to find by looking on top of the crate.

2. Barrens to Hollows
After leaving the Barrens area, go through the tunnel that leads to the Hollows area. Just before you reach the downtown area there will be an opening, jump into this to find the next loot chest hidden on your right hand side.

3. Dust Palace
To find this chest you will need to participate in the Dust Palace Strike. Inside this mission, look for a door with the number 3 written on it. If you look inside this room the chest will be located behind the desk.

4. Iron Line: Legion’ Keep
Head towards the Gates that lead towards the Legion’s Keep area. If you then follow the walkway on the left and jump up onto the pipes in the corner, you should be able to see another walkway on your left, which you need to jump onto and walk along in order to reach this Gold Chest.

5. Tharsis Junction

This chest is found in the Tharsis Junction subway area. Locate the Vex gate, which is behind the train and then enter to find a small room. Once in here exit through the hole in fence in the corner and then follow the path until you reach the chest.
