5 E3 Announcements were looking forward to!

E3 is always massive, with lots of games being teased, trailered and game play being revealed - there’s a lot to take in! If it’s not something absolutely gigantic in the gaming world being announced in the conference, it’s hands-on gameplay of the biggest unreleased games on the show floor, and that’s before you even get to the huge press releases! So with so much information out there we’ve whittled it down to our 5 big announcements that we’re looking forward to at E3!

1. Fallout 4 announced

Who’s ready for a brand new adventure in the dystopian wasteland? Ah yes that’s right, everyone is. With Fallout: New Vegas releasing 5 years ago, and Fallout 3 having been released 7 years ago (anyone else feeling old?) it’s about time for a new Fallout game says I, and everyone else who likes games on planet Earth. Well considering Bethesda just recently released the trailer for Fallout 4, and considering that it is their first E3 ever, I’d say the odds of some information about the game being released are fairly high. It might not be a playable version, or a release date, but one thing’s for sure – you’re going to see more of Fallout 4 at E3. If you don’t I’ll eat my keyboard (crunchy!).

2. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Details

The fan favourite rooty-tooty point and shooty is back! The third in the Black Ops series is coming out on the 6th of November this year, and it already has a whole host of new features that have been announced. The multiplayer and zombie modes have been completely overhauled, the campaign is now supports 4-player co-operative play, and there’s also a new class system and a new “Gunsmith” element, which allows players to customise their firearms and to design their own camo! There’s also a whole load of other new things that are happening with the new Black Ops, and hopefully all of these and more will get fleshed out with the details at E3.

3. Star Fox Gameplay

Prepare to “do a barrel roll”, because the vulpine aviator is back! It’s the first original Star Fox game in nine whole years, so there’s a bit of hype behind this one. It’s also a return to aerial combat which has fans’ interests peaked, with the Wii U’s gamepad screen taking centre stage in the development. Apparently this one is supposed to be as fun to watch other people play as it is to play yourself! There’s not much information about this except a few blurry shots of it being played in the background at events and a hilarious video of Miyamoto messing about with it. Hopefully at E3 2015 we’ll get a proper look at the gameplay, because everyone loves spacebattles.

4. New Banjo-Kazooie Revealed/Teased

Microsoft has had their hands on the Rare stuff for a while now, and people have been wondering which of their Rare titles they are going to develop. There’s a range of classic games: Perfect Dark, Viva Piñata and of course Banjo-Kazooie, which is what the smart money is on being picked up. There’s a bit of controversy around this though because with the spiritual successor (and therefore competitor), kickstarter-funded Yooka-Laylee in the works, it might make not make sense for Microsoft to bring out a new Banjo-Kazooie. But I think a lot of people would like to collect some more jigsaw pieces, and catch up with the bear and bird!

5. Holo Lens Details

Holo Lens is another goodie from Microsoft, it’s a new “augmented reality” project. By this they mean that when you wear the Holo Lens you won’t see a whole new world in front of your eyes, but rather the world around you will have things projected onto it. There are rumblings that they might be doing something with the Xbox One using this technology down the line, and E3 would be the perfect place to tell the world more about Microsoft’s VR gaming ambitions.
