Have Halo: The Master Chief Collection but you’re having a bit of trouble unlocking the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta? No problem, there are a few quick steps to gain access to the highly anticipated beta that’s been storming through the multiplayer arena since Microsoft let loose the limited beta preview during the holiday break.
Over on Reddit, a user named Sir Digby Gaming (spare this man some upvotes while you’re at it) rolled out a very quick and dirty method for accessing the Halo 5 multiplayer beta for Halo: The Master Chief Collection owners, which went live at 10am PST, December 29th, 2014.
People were having problems accessing the beta tab and had no idea where to go or what to do to start playing. So here’s how you do it:
Microsoft also rolled out a brief list of collector’s edition bundles for Halo 5: Guardians. If you’re into pre-ordering stuff you can check out the Xbox news wire for all the details. The collector’s edition bundles are available in limited quantities at participating retailers.
Personally? I suggest not even bothering to click on the link unless you really want a poster or a specially made statue by the good folks at 343 Industries. Pre-orders are part of the ongoing problem in the industry, and laying down funds in advance for an unproven game just continues the cyclic nature of paying for crap before the reviews roll in, sort of like what happened with Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Now I’m not saying Halo 5 will be crap, but I am saying to exercise caution. With that said, you can get a glimpse of the Halo 5 multiplayer beta with the video below, courtesy of Youtuber ChimneySwift11.
