There’s been a lot of talk about the new exotic weapon on Destiny called No Time To Explain. The gun looks a lot like the Stranger’s rifle or the Fate of All Fools, except with another paint job. But, in this guide folks will learn how to get the new exotic weapon in Destiny.
The quest is linked to past missions kinda like the one on how to get the Sleeper Simulant. But the thing that most people are searching for is the new exotic pulse rifle No Time To Explain.
Most long time players should have already completed this first step, but if you haven’t just yet you will need to do the Paradox story mission — when it is the Daily — and you will obtain a special Ghost that you will need to turn into the FWC. If you’ve only completed the mission for the day, it seems to trigger the next day, which is reported by some players to be time-gated, but that’s not known for sure just yet.
After you have waited the set amount of time — or if you’re on the proper day for those of you who have captured the Ghost beforehand — the FWC faction will have a new quest for you titled Not Forged in Light. Gain 1,000 rep with the faction and you must get a Simulation Core from a Taken Minotaur, which is usually found in the Citadel on Venus or the Buried City on Mars and shatter it.
After shattering the Simulation Core, the FWC should give you another step. You will have to complete the Vault of Glass raid. Once you get to the end and kill Atheon, you should get the Eye of Atheon, shatter that too.
Following that, the FWC will give you a solo mission to get a Bracelet of Ana Bray. This part is a bit tricky since the box is randomly placed throughout the stage, and you will have to constantly purify yourself in light so that you won’t succumb to the darkness. After you get the bracelet, return back and give it to the FWC.
You will get your final run for the quest, which tasks players to kill the Groundkeeper in the Black Garden. To do so, you will have to rustle the well-fed Vex Minotaur’s jimmies until you get its anger level over 100%, which can be done by killing a horde of normal Vex. After defeating it, you will make your final return to the FWC for the quest to claim the exotic pulse rifle, the No Time to Explain.
If that seemed a bit too much, you can check out a video that BomberFD posted up, showing a step-by-step guide on how to get the weapon. In addition, he also shows the perks it gets and much more, as seen below.
