When new weapons come out it’s a natural habit to want to know if its useful or useless. Well, If you enjoy playing Destiny and want the Exotic hand cannon The First Curse, then you might find this guide to be very helpful in obtaining it.
If you don’t like hand cannons or if you do, this weapon packs a lot of punch, depending on what you are fighting. The First Curse Exotic hand cannon in Destiny: The Taken King has an Attack Power of 290, excels at low impact and up close shots, but you might find that it isn’t so great with stability and its magazine size of eight rounds.
The Exotic hand cannon does come with some perks that some might feel balances out the weapon’s cons. Dead Eye being the first perk adds a bonus to range, stability and movement speed when using the iron-sights on the weapon. The First Curse, being the second perk, grants increased range and stability until your next reload when you make a precision kill.

There will be six steps you will have to follow to get The First Curse, and you’ll need to wait during specific parts of the quest, but you will probably have some things to do during the wait time.
You will need to level up your Gunsmith Reputation to Rank 5, if you already got him there then go to the Tower and visit the Gunsmith. When you reach Rank 5, the Gunsmith will give you a quest called Imprecation.
How To Get The First Curse Exotic Weapon:
Step 1: You will need to get 250 kills using a Primary Hand Cannon telemetry active. After that go back to the tower and talk to the Gunsmith.
Step 2: You will have to wait for the following Armsday.
Step 3: Go back and talk to the Gunsmith and he will give you a field test weapon called the Imprecation. Equip it and infuse the weapon until it gets to 260 (it starts at 200).
Step 4: After doing step 3, you will need to get seven head-shot kills with a hand cannon during the Crucible with the Imprecation equipped. When you are done, go back and talk to the Gunsmith again.
Step 5: You will have to wait for Armsday again.
Step 6: After waiting, talk to the Gunsmith one last time and he will give you The First Curse.
