Saints Row: Gat out of Hell Guide - How to Unlock the 7 Deadly Weapons

7 deadly weapons

So you finally got your hands on Saints Row: Gat out of Hell and you’re having a blast tearing up every single minion of Satan that happens to cross your path. Headshots stream from your gun, enemies are beaten to a pulp, trucks run over demons, knives rip… well, you get the point. But, something seems wrong. You get the feeling that you just aren’t providing the constant murder and mayhem with the proper respect. It’s almost as if you don’t have the right tools to really display the chaos that has welled up deep inside your soul.

It turns out that the developers of Saints Row: Gat out of Hell knew that something like this would happen so they created a group of weapons known as the 7 Deadly Weapons, a collection of hardware based on the seven deadly sins. Of course, a group of weapons with such a distinguished title wouldn’t be laying out in the open, where is fun in that? Luckily, you have stumbled across a guide that will quickly have you outfitted with the best weapons the under world has to offer. So sit back, relax, and get ready to unleash hell.

There are some minor spoilers so read on at your own risk. You’ve been warned.

Armchair-A-Geddon (Sloth)

7 deadly weapons

Sit back, relax, and let the chair do all the heavy lifting.

Remember when you read that whole “sit back and relax” thing a few seconds ago? Well, to get your hands on the very first of the 7 Deadly Weapons you will need to do just that. The Armchair-A-Geddon is a recliner outfitted with dual miniguns and homing rockets. It is the true embodiment of the laziness that defines the sin of sloth and you will have get in touch with your inner lazy self if you hope to get your hands… err, rear in this bad boy.

Shortly after beginning Saints Row: Gat out of Hell you will receive a quest that directs you to do nothing other but find a spot to rest. Head northwest to do a little bit of searching and you will discover a recliner sitting in front of a TV on top of a roof. Plop into the comfy seat and voila, you have just obtained your first super powerful death-dealer. Watch as enemies die in droves before you as you do little more than sit comfortably in your plush chair.

But perhaps you are just a bit too proud to use a weapon that was pretty much handed to you. You can, of course, go after a weapon that requires you to get your hands dirty.

Gallows Dodger (Pride)

7 deadly weapons

Gallows Dodger is excellent in a pinch. Just charge it up and watch the explosions fly.

For those who like to boast about their evil slaying exploits, the weapon that embodies the sin of pride is perfect for you. The Gallows Dodger is one of the most powerful of the 7 Deadly Weapons and can easily be obtained with a little bit of vengeful work. Early on in Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, you will unlock the ability to kill a former member of the Saints named Dex, whom fans of the series will no doubt remember. Seeing as how this standalone expansion takes place in hell, you will be able to kill him as many times as you can find him.

If you seek Dex out and kill him seven times, you will unlock the Gallows Dodger, a uniquely powerful, talking weapon. Build up a charge by dealing damage and prepare to unleash hell once over kill is activated. As an added cherry on top you get to hear the Gallows Dodger mock the citizens of New Hades as you dish out the pain.

Racking up a sizable body count will most likely get you a bit hungry. Might as well grab the next weapon while you pick up some grub.

Last Supper (Gluttony)

7 deadly weapons

It’s raining cake, hallelujah it’s raining cake…

While flying through the city of New Hades with your brand new wings, you may have noticed a fast food chain named Tacos Malos. There are three drive-thru locations for the chain located throughout the city. If you take the time to visit each one, you will unlock the third Deadly Weapon: the Last Supper. Now this weapon is an interesting one.

When you think of a final meal you probably imagine some grand feast with all the fixings, but the weapon that embodies gluttony takes a rather different approach. Last Supper is a cannon that fires either a stream or a concentrated bomb of frosting and sprinkles. Watch with glee as enemies die from an overdose of desserts as you stand back and let it rain sweet death.

Since you’re in hell, you won’t have to ever consume the abundant amount of food you just produced, nor will you have to spend any of your money at the mentioned drive-thrus. But if you really need something to spend all your hard earned sins on, you might as well let your greed shine through.

Diamond Sting (Greed)

7 deadly weapons

There’s something truly special about a weapon that shoots diamonds and causes enemies to explode into currency.

Diamond Sting is one the earliest available 7 Deadly Weapons. In fact, it’s the very first one. If you visit any of the gun vending machines, you will see if for sale from the very beginning of Saints Row: Gat out of Hell. The only problem is that it costs a whopping $100, 000. Since this gun is the embodiment of greed, it makes sense that it will require you to hoard your cash, so get to saving so you can pick this blinged out weapon up.

Once you finally obtain Diamond Sting, you will learn that practically prints money. For starters, the weapon fires diamonds at enemies at high speeds in order to do loads of damage. Once you manage to defeat an enemy with this particular weapon, you will be treated to an explosion of currency. Diamond Sting ramps up your intake of funds by turning all enemies to piñatas stuffed with money.

This gun fits in perfectly in hell, seeing as how the love of money is the root of all evil. Or perhaps it’s the lust of money…

Boom Chicka (Lust)

7 deadly weapons

Boom Chicka spreads the love.

Representing the lust that is found in sinful hearts, the Boom Chicka is a shotgun that causes any enemy to instantly fall in lust with you for a few seconds. But before you can have the local demons tripping over themselves in order to get close to you, you’ll first have to unlock this powerful weapon. To do so, you will have to locate and open Captain Blackbeard’s treasure chests that have been scattered across hell.

Each chest can only be opened after finding and collecting three glyphs located in the area. It may prove easier to wait until you are able to purchase the Collectible Finder upgrade before attempting to loot this weapon. The game does alert you when you’re in the vicinity of a glyph, but due to the level design and the sheer size of many of the buildings, searching blindly won’t always prove to be a fruitful endeavor.

Of course, while waiting to level up enough to unlock that coveted upgrade, you can always show the locals the extent of your wrath.

Ark of the Covenant (Wrath)

7 deadly weapons

Ark of the Covenant is a truly powerful weapon obtained by defeating a super powerful adversary.

Killing the lost souls of hell and the demons that guard the city will increase your notoriety. As you continue to cause mayhem the meter will rise and rise until whoever is in charge has had enough and sends an arch duke out to kill you. Sometimes, if you’re really lucky, an arch duke may decide to stay back and send another combatant in its stead. That combatant happens to be none other than everyone’s favorite master of mayhem: Professor Genki.

Once Professor Genki appears, you will see that he is sporting a rather unique weapon that nobody else in the game has. If you manage to kill him, which is a difficult task, you can claim the weapon for your own and add to your growing collection. The Ark of the Covenant has the ability to suck up the souls of enemies for an instant kill, and it also fires explosive souls that seek out enemies.

With this weapon, you will become the envy of even Satan himself.

Uriel’s Edge (Envy)

7 deadly weapons

You have a flaming sword, they do not. That is all.

The last of the 7 Deadly Weapons embodies the spirit of envy in the form of flaming legendary weapon. Uriel’s Edge can only be obtained by gaining access to a secret portal that leads you to a secret altar. While playing Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, you will come across these portals that you can gain control of in order to teleport around New Hades. If you manage to take control of enough of them, you will gain a new quest that directs you to access a secret chamber.

Make your way to any of your controlled portals and you can teleport to this chamber. Walk to the altar and there you have it, the last of the 7 Deadly Weapons is yours to use as you please. Wield the fiery blade as you chop down the hordes of Satan’s army or shoot fire balls at distant enemies. Either way, you’ll dominate the battlefield.

You can acquire these weapons in any order you see fit. Collect only the ones you want or, if you’re a completionist, feel free to collect them all and brag about your deadly arsenal. Do you have a favorite? Feel free to share.
