Moshi Monsters Guide

Moshi Monsters Walkthrough

Unofficial Moshi Monsters Guide by CM Boots-Faubert for

If you are just discovering Moshi Monsters for the first time -- either as the parent of a player or as a player -- you are likely feeling more than just a little confused, having been dropped into a fantasy world that, already three plus years in the making, is busy with so much to do that it can feel overwhelming on a good day.  Well no worries mate, we have your back!

This guide will introduce you to Moshi Monsters, get you well-grounded, and give you the basic and advanced knowledge that you need to receive the maximum fun and entertainment that the game can offer!  Along the way you will learn some tricks, and become am expert member of the Moshi Community -- because while it is a game, Moshi Monsters is also a community that has been described as the "Facebook for Kids" and, as such, has become the preferred destination for well over 25-million gamers who love their Moshi!

Every journey begins with an understanding of where it is you are going, and in the case of Moshi Monsters, that starts with a definition of what the game -- and its site -- actually is: Moshi Monsters is a social networking online game and virtual pet site targeted at children aged 6 to 12 that has become popular with gamers of all ages.

Its basic structure is very similar to that of games like Webkinz and Club Penguin -- but without the toys that are associated with those two.  In place of the toys, Moshi Monsters has a free basic level of membership that allows the player to adopt a monster and play with them, as well as a subscription fee system called the Passport that adds more complex elements to the game, such as special locations and destinations like The Port, The Underground Disco, Gift Island, and more.

G'day G'day!  Welcome to Moshi Monsters!

A membership subscription also gives access to special content like larger housing, special member-only games, and access to exclusive content that you can purchase for yourself or for your mates.  In addition to exclusive areas and games, membership also makes it easier to earn Rox, providing opportunities that the basic members do not have.

While Moshi Monsters differs from games like Webkinz in that you do not have to purchase a stuffed animal in order to obtain basic membership, it does have a line of products that are associated with it that are targeted at the 6 to 12 age range, including companion books, stickers, trading cards, stuffed and plush animals, toys, and collectibles, which means that chances are very good that you will find yourself Moshing out in real life as well as in the game!

The game was developed in 2007 by the British media company Mind Candy, and launched in April 2008 to nearly instant popularity.  In the brief three years since its population has exploded, with well more than 25-million players regularly logging in to spend time with their Moshi.

At its very basic essence this is a game in which the player adopts and cares for a pet monster who lives in its own house in the game.  The process of taking care of your monster often includes playing games and solving puzzles, which often result in the player earning rewards that are called Rox -- a virtual currency that can be used to buy items like food, drinks, clothes, and toys for the adopted monster as well as items with which to decorate their home.

While Moshi Monsters has been called the Facebook for kids in terms of revenue it is not -- in place of the micro-transaction system that is found on Facebook Moshi Monsters uses premium media purchases with noted success.

The service emphasizes its three core elements: Fun, Education and Safety -- the contents are education oriented and while there are social media aspects to the game and site, these are limited in scope in order to limit communication risks.  Bearing in mind that not all players are of the age range, these limitations are sensible and functional.

Creating Your Account

Step 01: Go to the homepage at www.moshimonsters.com and in the top right corner, you will see a sign that says Sign In/Adopt A Monster.

In order to play the game -- and adopt a monster -- you have to create an account.  To do that, you will need at a minimum a working email address, and a password that you can remember!  The other information that the service requests is not checked, so you can pretty much put whatever you want for the contact information and age, but if you actually plan to subscribe to the service it would be an idea to put the correct information... We're just saying.

Once you have created your account, it is time to adopt a monster!

Selecting your Moshi Monsters from the Six Species

-- Subscribing as a Paid-Member --

The Basic Membership is free, and allows you to play a lot of the game but clearly being a Paid-Member is better, because it allows you to play ALL of the game.  In addition to that, it also includes the following items:

- Art Shows at the Googenheim (show off your artistic talents)
- Changing Colours (access to Colorama to change your Moshi's colour)
- Easier Rox (access to areas where you can gather more Rox)
- Gifting (access to Gift Island and the ability to give gifts)
- Larger Housing (more space to live and play)
- Moshi Passport (gives access to all of the restricted areas)
- Moshling Zoo (a place to store lots of Moshlings nice and orderly)
- Starcade (ad playable games to your Moshi Home)
- Super Moshi (play special missions and collect special Moshlings)

Step 1: Subscribing starts with selecting the region you are from -- there are three of them, starting with USA/Canada, then UK/Europe, and finally The Rest of the World!

Step 2: Selecting the terms of your subscription means choosing from four options:

- A 1 Month recurring subscription for $5.95 a month
- A 6 Month recurring subscription for $39.95 per 6 months
- A 1-Year non-recurring subscription for $49.95
- A Pre-Paid Moshi Time Card you buy from a retail store like GameStop

Any of the first three options require you to have a credit card, while the 4th lets you use cash.

Once you decide on the option you want to use and submit the payment information, you will need to wait around 20 minutes for the member-access to become available on the servers, after which you have full access to the game!  While you are waiting you are prompted to return to your Room.

Adopting Your First Monster

Step 01: Click on Adopt A Monster and you will see a screen containing the six monster types standing there -- you can roll your mouse over them to see their names and how they sound.

Skip to the next part of this guide (The Moshi Monsters) and read about the six types prior to making this decision so that you pick the perfect monster for you -- go ahead, we will wait here for you do to that now!  Done?  That did not take long at all!

Step 02: Choose your Moshi Monster's colours.   Since these colors will be with your monster forever (unless you pay for a membership, in which case you can then change them) you should consider the colours carefully, and select the ones that you feel best project the identity of your Moshi Monster...

Adopt Your Own Pet Monster

Step 03: Complete the adoption and the online form, which will cause the server to send you an email to verify that the email address you gave is the correct one for you -- and that it works and you can receive email at it.

The server will log you out while it is doing all of this, so you will want to load your email program or the webmail page you use to access your email and wait for the verification email to arrive -- a process that can take as long as ten minutes.

When the email arrives, click the link inside it to verify that you are you, and that you did indeed adopt a monster!

Selecting your Moshi Monster Colours

Step 04: Sign into the Server -- now that you have completed the adoption process and verified your account as genuine, it is time to return to the server and sign into the game!

Simply enter the email and password that you selected earlier into the boxes -- and a secret code if you have one (check the appropriate Appendix of this guide for items you may want and use that code) -- and then sign in.

Step 05: Completing the Adoption -- All that remains in the process is to fill in your monster's name and then you will be shown inside your monster's house, where you will learn about the different options you have to play with inside.

When the adoption process concludes, you should find that you now possess 200 Rox (the Moshi Monsters virtual currency) as well as a green shelf and a piece of Cheesecake/Pie.

Place the Shelf Unit where you want to against the wall of your new room, and then feed the noms (Cheesecake/Pie) to your Moshi!  They will love you for that!  Be sure to visit the store on Main Street later and purchase more food, but for now we have a very special task to perform and observe!

Step 06: Select Puzzles on the wall of your home and do the Daily Challenge, answering ten general knowledge questions.  This is a timed challenge so do not dally.  Once you have answered all of the questions you will be shown your score, and then an amazing thing will happen -- your Moshi will level of to Level 2, and as you watch music will play and your Moshi will do its special Leveling Dance for you!

Each time thereafter when your Moshi levels, it will do this same Leveling Dance, and how cool is  that?  Sadly the levels that follow are not going to be this easy or this fast...

The Moshi Monsters

Moshi Monsters includes six species players can choose from to adopt -- including:

Diavlo Moshi Monster

-- Diavlo --

Species: Diavlos
Language: Divanise
Characteristics: Flying; Multi-Colour.

Diavlos have a volcano-like appearance, and are one of only two Moshi Monster species able to fly. The original colours for a Diavlo are red and black but they can and often do have other colours.

Diavlos are mischievous, lively, and extroverted monsters who are very friendly.  When you treat them well, they are mostly carefree and happy, but when they are treated badly or neglected they grow brash  and angry very easily.

When angered they stomp around, roar, and puff up their cheeks to indicate their displeasure, shooting lava out of the crater-like hole on their heads like a volcano!  An easy indicator that they are upset or tired is the lava in their head, which changes to a darker shade.

Known for being ticklish, they are a popular choice for boy gamers -- though the cute factor in their appearance makes them popular with some girl gamers as well.  As they are well suited for boy gamers, who tend to be less regular in their visits and care practices, they are one of the stronger and more resilient types of Moshi Monsters, and are better able to thrive when there are gaps in their care.

Furi Moshi Monster

-- Furi --

Species: Furis
Language: Furane
Characteristics: Dual-Colour; Scrounger.

Furis are very hairy monsters whose original colours are brown and pink.  A scrounging monster, they enjoy eating slop, and consider it to be something of a treat when you give it to them.  They have an incredible involuntary attraction to the Poppet species of Moshi Monster, which they find irresistible.

Furi are particularly good at learning tricks and tend to express themselves in cute ways when doing ordinary tasks -- for example when they eat they almost perform for their owners, making cute noises and something of a mess.

A very social monster, Furis require a significant amount of attention from their owner and, not surprisingly, do not do well when they are left alone or not cared for on a regular basis.  Though they are one of the happier sorts, if they are mistreated or they do not receive the required level if attention and socialization they can grow sad.

Katsuma Moshi Monster

-- Katsuma --

Species: Katsumas
Language:  Katsumeanese
Characteristics: Dual-Colour; Energetic, Extroverted.

Katsumas have a distinctly rabbit-like appearance and are endowed with an incredible amount of natural energy, and a lively personality us considered typical for the species.   Their original colours are orange and red, but often include other colours.

One of the most popular adopted -- and thus the largest population of monsters in the game -- Katsuma are the most friendly of monsters, and respond very well to good care and a nice environment.  They prefer their owner to decorate their living spaces, and are very expressive of mood.

Katsuma will warn their owner when they grow angry or frustrated by scratching things -- annoy one too much and it will wrap its ears around its eyes and jump about, which is a sure sign that trouble is quickly approaching.  Once they reach the limit of their patience they tend towards direct displays of displeasure that culminate in a violent temper tantrum!

Katsuma are a very intelligent species, less prone to reacting, with a preference towards carefully considering their actions.  They are particularly fond of martial arts.

Luvli Moshi Monster

-- Luvli --

Species: Luvlis
Language: Luvlinese
Characteristics: Flying; Heart-Shaped.

Luvlis' build is typically heart-shaped with a wand curling in on itself on top of their heads, and most of the Luvlis you will encounter in the world will be female.

One of  only two monster species who can fly, this combined with their unique body shape makes them one of the more popular species with girl gamers.  Their original colours are red and green, but they can be found in other colour schemes.

Born with a deep interested in fashion and seeking to look beautiful,  they can be very fussy and will easily turn rude if they feel that they have been treated badly.   They can have a very bossy and aggressive willful nature, and it helps to allow them take charge every now and then so that their need for control is satisfied.

When you have annoyed them, they will slap the screen with the wand that is attached to their head to indicate this -- and failing to notice this situation and correct it can easily lead to a temper-tantrum, during which they are likely to snarl and snap at you, and to charge up to the screen like an angry bull.

They are a high-maintenance pet that requires lots of attention and affection, as otherwise they tend to grow moody and disagreeable with you.    If you have annoyed them to the point that they are unhappy with you, try to remember that they really enjoy shopping with their owners more than anything, and that they like to have expensive and attractive items in their room -- and catering to those likes may be the best way to correct your mistake or mistreatment.

When they level up their special dance is set to a bossa nova tune.

Poppet Moshi Monster

-- Poppet --

Species: Poppeti
Language: Poppetainian
Characteristics: Very Powerful Charisma; Pacifistic; Passionate.

Poppets are a chinchilla-like monster who have mid-length ears, a curled up tail, and a pair of rubber boots.   They are widely considered to be one of the most adorable Moshi Monsters in the world, and are the most popular Moshi Monster with girl gamers.  Their natural trait for pacifism and their extreme dislike of violence is well known, and teh vast majority of the Poppets you encounter in the world will be female.

Poppets genuinely enjoy being helpful to others.  This species is universally liked by other Moshi, who enjoy relating to them.  They have a deep enjoyment of dancing but prefer to do it in private, as they tend to be bashful and more self-aware than other species, and though they tend to enjoy hugs and showing their emotions to their masters when they are feeling loved, the flip side of that coin is that when they are angry or sad they show that in equal strength, and their temper-tantrums can be a lot to handle!

When hungry or ill they put their paws on their belly to indicate it, and they tend to be very emotional and indulge those emotions -- if you get answers incorrect on the Daily Challenge you can expect your Poppet to cry and be terribly upset!

Zommer Moshi Monster

-- Zommer --

Species: Zommus
Language: Zommeranian
Characteristics: Zombified; Slow.

The zombie-like monsters of the Moshi world, Zommers typically drool and often have scars from rough play on their face and bodies.  The 'Goth' of the Moshi world, they prefer to wear tattered clothes and enjoy the companionship of other Zommer.  Their original colors are blue and purple, but can be found in practically any scheme, though they prefer darker complimentary colours.

Their spiky hair, stitched up limbs, and missing left eyes speaks of a rough-and-tumble lifestyle, but despite their appearance Zommers are a very warm-hearted and friendly species!   The least commonly adopted monster in Moshi World because of their ghoulish appearances, when Zommers are adopted they are mostly chosen by boys.

The weakest monsters in terms of health, it is important that they be fed and cared for daily, and shown reasonable levels of affection.  When happy they often rock out by playing air guitar to express that happiness, and when they levels up, rock music plays.  When your Zommer starts growling, snapping, or pulling on its hair, that is a sure sign that you have annoyed it and a temper-tantrum is coming!

Zommers are almost exclusively males.

Moshling Pets

The Moshling are not part of the higher-level monsters of the Moshi world, but rather occupy the position of pet and companion for Moshi Monsters.  Much like cats and dogs are for humans, Moshlings live in the home with their owners, where they are highly social.

Moshling are obtained in two ways: by planting the correct combination of seeds in a Moshi Garden to grow the Moshling bait plant, or by the player completing a Super Moshi Mission.

-- Plant Method: The player must carefully tend to and grow the resultant Moshling plant to full maturity, upon which point the Moshling plant gets its colour, which in turn determines what Moshling it will attract as the Moshling types are attracted to specific colour plants!

After the plant is grown, the Moshling is attracted, and captured, the player may choose to keep it, or to set it free if it is a type that they do not want.   When a Moshling is captured the player is provided with a basic description of it prior to making the decision as to whether to keep it or set it free.

Super Moshis - Monstro City Needs YOU

-- The Mission Method: To capture a Moshling using this method the player must complete a Super Moshi Mission, a special mission that comes in several variates and that involve the player solving a mystery or a challenge in the game.

While Basic-Level Members may obtain a standard Moshling through the Plant Method, only Paid-Members can utilize the Mission Method, as it requires that their Moshi be a "Super Moshi" which is a part of the premium content that is available only to subscribers.

Using the Mission Method, Paid-Members may obtain one of the rarer special Moshling by succeeding in completing their mission.   Presently the Mission Method is the only way to obtain some of the rarer types of Moshling in the game, making ownership of these Moshling something of a status symbol in the game.

-- Basic vs. Paid Membership and the Moshling --

In addition to the optional Mission Method that is available to Paid Members, there are other issues that relate to the membership type and Moshlings in the game, most notably the exclusive Moshlings obtained only by Paid Members, and the number of Moshling a member can possess.

A Basic Member may only have two Moshlings in their room and any time -- if they want additional pet Moshlings or they desire to own different ones and they already have two, they must dispose of one of their Moshling before they will be permitted to capture a new one, regardless of Moshling type.

Paid Members can keep up to six Moshlings in their room at any one time, but in addition to the six Moshling that they retain in their home as pets, they are also permitted to keep others they find, capture, or are rewarded with in their Moshling Zoo space!

Potential Moshling owners who are Paid Members should be on notice that if their membership should lapse at any time, two Moshling pets will be randomly chosen by the server to remain in their home; the player has no influence on which.  The missing Moshling are not lost or deleted however, and once the membership is renewed they are returned to the home.

Plant Colour is Important for Attracting Moshling Types

-- Moshling Plant Seeds --

Moshling Plant Seeds are the primary means by which players will be able to collect Moshlings, and come in eight types:

01. Crazy Daisy*

02. Dragon Fruit

04. Love Berries

Destinations in the World of Moshi Monsters

The world of Moshi Monsters includes a number of destinations and places where the player can visit with their pet monsters and, naturally, play games, earn Rox, and interact with other players, adding new friends and encountering other Moshi Monsters!

These destinations are divided up into two basic levels: open access areas that are available to all players, and restricted access areas that are available only to Paid Members.  The following destinations exist in the game:

Bab's Boutique is where you find Collectibles

-- Bab's Boutique

Restricted Area Located in The Port.

Bab's is a store for members only that specializes in selling collectibles that you can use to decorate your monster's home.  They sell collectibles, WallScrawls, Beanie Blobs, exclusive member-only room sets, house parts, and Scare Bears.   If you are seeking ultra rare items Bab's is not the place to look, as it generally only has the common items.

The Bizarre Bazaar has lots of Variety

-- Bizarre Bazaar

One of the shops on Main Street, the Bazaar is located next to the statue of Timernator, and its specialty is very odd and strange items.  In addition to odd wallpaper that does not match any of the sets you can also find:

- Bingo Bongo Drums
- Bowler Balls
- Cuddly Humans
- Dino the Dinosaur Parts
- Doors
- Monster Baby Photos
- Paintings
- Plants
- Posters
- Tribal Masks
- Wallpapers
- Windows

Keep an eye out for rare items (look for the clover leafs marking them to indicate that they are rare).  Remember that the colour of the leaf is an indication of the rarity, starting at Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.  When you do find a rare or uber-rare item, be sure to use it as a decoration in your house so that your friends get to see it and pay you props for having something cool and rare!

The Colourama is where you go to change your Moshi!

-- Colourama

Restricted Area Located in The Port.

The Colorama is the shop where Members can change the colour of their monster!  Every color change costs 100 Rox, and there are over a million possible combinations of colours to pick.  You can change your monster's body, boots and eyes here as well.

Diavlo's Duds is where you dress your Diavlo

-- Diavlo's Duds

One of the shops in the Monstro City Marketplace (a shopping center that specializes in clothing), it is owned by a fiery red and coal-black Diavlo and it sells small clothes, mostly appropriate for a Diavlo!

The shop does stock other types of clothing so you may still want to check it out even if you do not have a Diavlo...

The DIY Shop has lots of House Items

-- DIY Shop

The 'Do It Yourself Shop' is located off of Sludge street and sells a variety of wallpapers, doors, windows and floors of different designs.  The current owner is Dewy, a red monster who prefers uncleanliness.

The DIY shop is known for its many objects, interesting doors and wallpaper, and elegant flooring.

Dodgy Deals can pay off big or cost you plenty!

-- Dodgy Dealz

Located off of Sludge Street, the Double-D opened in July of 2008 and is owned by a bloke named Sly Chance, a rather shady fellow.   He buys surplus furniture and food, but only pays 40% of its real value (hence the name of the shop!).

You have the option to 'Take a Chance' in dealing with him, a special transaction during which he shows multiple cards, with each bearing a different percentages on it.   He shuffles them in and then you get to pick one --  and he pays whatever the percentage is that is on the card you draw!

The For Rent Building has a Super Secret

-- For Rent Building

Located off of Sludge Street, this is a pretty important place in the game, because it is where you must go in order to become a Super Moshi!

Inside is a code wheel that you will use to become a Super Moshi -- once you get the clues from other monsters that will allow you to decipher the code SLM that is!

Furi Fashion  is where you dress your Furi

-- Furi Fashion

One of the shops located in the Monstro City Marketplace off Sludge Street specializing in fashion and accessories, Furi Fashion is owned by a Furi -- of course -- and stocks a large assortment of items that appeal to Furis!   Note that the items in this store are particularly expensive.

It is fun to give and to receive

-- Gift Island

Gift Island is for members only. You reach from the port and you go by ferry. You can give your registered friends gifts and a message if you like -- as the gifts are short animations that include a message with them...

At the far end of the island is the boat you can use to travel to The Port, which is also a restricted zone.

The Googenheim is where the Art is!

-- Googenheim Art Gallery

Googenheim Art Gallery is where Monsters show of their art to win Rox.  Located on Ooh La Lane you cannot miss it!

The Grossery Store has Food and Drinks for you!

-- Grossery Store

The Grossery Store is a building on Main Street where you can buy food and drinks for your monster.  Owned by Snozzle Wobbleson -- a being who is renown for his clumsy movement -- it is the go-to place for obtaining food and drinks for your monster, something you will want to do on a daily basis!

The Department Store for Moshi!

-- Horrods

Horrods (yes, it is the spoofed name of THAT store) is one of the shops on Sludge Street owned by Mizzzz Snoots -- originally it was open to the public, but in January of 2009 the owner closed it to the public, allowing only members to shop there as its exclusive clientele.

Horrods sells rare items and understandably most items are expensive there because of that -- but if you are seeking something expensive and rare to show off in your home, you can hardly do better than to pop on in to Horrods and see what they have laying around, right?  It stocks many of the rarest items in the game, so if you got the Rox, why not spend them?

Leveling Your Monster

Each monster that you adopt begins their relationship with you at Level 1, and while they will quickly level up to Level 2 in order to demonstrate their special Leveling Dance for you, raising their level beyond Level 2 requires considerable effort on your part.

Each time you level your monster up, they will dance, and you will receive a trophy for that level -- these trophies are meant to be kept as mementos of the event, and have no value in Rox, though they can be sold for 0 Rox if you just want to dispose of them...

The normal route to leveling your monster is a trade-off of time -- consistently playing the game each day in order to score the maximum number of experience points (XP) that you are allowed to obtain.  That's right, you can only earn a set number of XP per day -- and then only when your monster is feeling well and happy!

Leveling your Moshi starts in your home!

What that means is that you need to be sure that you are taking good care of your monster!  You need to feed it, you need to play with it, you need to care for it and give it social interaction -- all of that just to keep its mood and health high so that when you are ready to do the things that you need to do in order to gain XP it will be willing to do them!

Now that you understand the basic mechanism and the conditions, let's examine the methods that you can use to gain that XP target each day!

Moshi Monsters gain experience -- and Level -- from the following activities:

-- Being Fed
-- Being Tickled
-- Buying new Things
-- Changing your Room
-- Daily Challenges
-- Mini-games
-- Playing with their Master
-- Solving Puzzles

To maintain consistent progress you will want to play the game each day, and to create a routine that you follow so that it becomes a natural part of your play when you arrive.  You should start by visiting the Puzzle Palace and completing the Daily Challenge -- a timed quiz of general subjects like math, word seek, and the like.

A tour through the stores to see if there are any rare items you can buy -- the inventory changes daily -- might lead to some XP for changing the decorations in your house, and of course there are the different mini-games and challenges like the Ice Scream Store for you to visit and play as well.

By creating that routine, and playing daily to get the maximum XP you are allowed to get, you will quickly level up your Moshi in no time at all!

Level Three Super Moshi Walkthrough

Before you contemplate this mission you should be aware that the quest to become a Super Moshi is only available to paid subscribers -- that is, full members of the site who pay for that membership -- and cannot be attempted by the free-level members. We cannot tell you how to access this without subscribing because it is not supposed to be available to non-subscribing members.

After you complete the Super Moshi Quest you receive the Super Moshi Box (a yellow and red box with S and M on its sides) that you click on to add to your Gift Box. Then open the Gift Box and use the duplicate box inside to access the missions -- clicking the Play button to view the video message from Super Moshi Central that will explain what is happening and where you are needed!

You are instructed to head to the Volcano where you will receive further instructions from The Gatekeeper -- an Aztec-style statue to the right of the lava flow -- who will tell you how to enter the Super Moshi HQ. As this is your first time there, he tells you "To enter, go to the building for rent on Sludge Street. There will be a clue that will help you find the first guardian of the secret code."

Use the map to travel to Sludge Street and enter the building on the far-left with the 'For Rent' sign, where you will discover a code wheel on the wall inside! You are shown the direction to the guide -- the three-eyed bloke on the docks to the left of the building -- who provides you with the first code.

He tells you that "The guy reading a book on Main Street also holds part of the code. Speak to him to continue your quest."

Head over to Main Street to find that bloke and talk to him, and he will give you the second letter, and then tell you "I'm sure the guy listening to music on Sludge Street has another letter," so it is back to Sludge Street we go!

The music fan explains that you need three letters to complete the puzzle -- and he gives you the third letter!

Note that the word that is spelled out by the letters is not always the same one -- which is why I did not include the letters here, because you really do need to talk to the three guides before you can complete this quest.

Return to the 'For Rent' building and click the scrap of paper on the floor that has the letter-to-code symbols on it, and then figure out what the three-letter-code is for your letters, and then punch that into the code wheel and you will unlock the key, which will pop out of the center of the wheel.

Click on the key to take it, and you will be told to return to the Gatekeeper and speak to him, so head back to the Volcano and insert the key into the Gatekeeper -- at which point you will be told in very clear terms that you must be a full member in order to join the Super Moshi HQ and enter. If you are not a paid member, you are not going in. Simple as that. A screen will pop-up through which you can subscribe if you are not a member, otherwise you will be told to go in.

Super Moshi Missions 1 and 2

The first two missions are dead easy and you will not require a guide to get through them -- all that you need to do is pay attention to what you are being asked to do and then do it and you are golden. The same however, cannot be said for the third mission, which a lot of players have trouble with, and which is why we have a simple guide here for you as a walkthrough to help you out if you get stuck!

Super Moshi Mission Three By the Numbers

1. Go to Volcano and enter Mission Control HQ
2. Click the Elder Moshi to bring up Mission assignment board; Click Mission #3
3. Evade all the pelting “goo” coming towards your plane... If you get hit you need to clean the plane.
4. To find Wurley, click 'rainbow'
5. Meet Nimbus in the cloud to get him to help you supercharge Wurley.
6. The first step is to make Nimbus laugh a lot; tell Nimbus three jokes, choosing the correct punchlines for each joke to complete this step.
7. The first correct answer is: Legless Sheep;
8. The second correct answer is: Slowly-cane;
9. The third correct answer is: Thunder-wear.
10. Nimbus will now start to rain.
11. The next task is to fix Wurley; return over the Rainbow and ask Flumpy to help.
12. Flumpy will request glue, sticks, material, and string with which to make a kite.
13. Collect string from the Windmill, material from the plane’s tail, sticks from the ground, and glue from the goo on the plane. Give the items to Flumpy and he will make a new kite.
14. Your next task is to anger Nimbus to provoke him into creating lightning; do this by telling him about Dr. Strangeglove's secret plan.

Tips and Tricks

These are general tips and tricks that were culled from the message boards and the Interweb from postings by players, and NOT from official sources, which means they may or may not be effective and should be used at your own discression.

-- Easy Rox

Plant three magic beans. Wait until they are grown. When you dig them out you will get 1 to 100 Rox depending on your monster's health.

When you go to the port you will see Rox trees. To get the Rox of the tree, simply click the tree. Once you have shaken them all, sign out then sign back in again. Go back into the port and the Rox will be back on the trees.

Buy three of any desired flower. Plant them and go home. Go straight back and you might see something blue growing. Place the pointer over it and it will read "Rox Flower". Once it is fully grown, try to shake it. If you do not get all the Rox, log out and log back in again. Shake it again and more Rox will come out. Repeat the process if this doesn't work, but use three dragon fruits!

More tips and tricks will follow at a later date, please check back.

Writing game guides is a complex and time consuming craft that cannot be done well without the help of others.  Any guide writer who fails to acknowledge the people that helped them to create their guide is a silly git who is only fooling themselves!

I want to thank the following Gamers for their help with many small areas of this guide, and for being there to chat, compare notes, and when needed, play co-op!

AutumnBF -- Who patiently played through the game again and again and told it like it was.

Rich -- a very patient bloke and editor!

Swash01 -- who researched the secret codes for me as well as other aspects of the game.

YvonneBF -- who did most of the formatting, editing, and who provided a constant stream of tea and biscuits!

Finally I need to thank you, because without you this guide would never have been commissioned.  Thanks mates!
