Mass Effect 3: Omega DLC Walkthrough

The Invasion of Omega

  1. To begin Mass Effect 3′s Omega DLC head to the Citadel, then enter Dock 42. You’ll meet a batarian, who will then direct you to Aria T’Loak, who is riding inside a shuttle. When you enter the shuttle, she’ll inform you that she wants to take Omega back. After participating in some dialogue, she’ll also mention a one General Oleg Petrovsky, the leader of the Cerberus occupation.
  2. After the mission details, you’ll be back on the Normandy. Access the galaxy map, then enter orbit around the Citadel. Fly toward Aria’s Fleet to dock with her vessels. Before you meet Aria again, you’ll be able to change your weapon loadout as well as upgrade abilities.
  3. Aria will be given a clean slate so you can distribute her powers however you wish. Flare is great for clustered groups, Reave is good against barriers and armor, and Lash will pound enemies to the ground, like a whip. Once finished, you’ll board the ship and continue the dialogue with Aria.
  4. You won’t be in control until you crash land on Omega, so at this point, watch the sweet space battle taking place outside of Omega. Once you crash inside, it’ll be just you and Aria against some foot soldiers. There are assault troopers and centurions (shields).
  5. Push forward to clear the hangar bay. There are ammo stashes laid out on both sides if you need ammo. When the area is clear, head toward the blast door with Aria. Grab the medkits on each side of the hangar bay right before the blast door console, then access the console to start the lift. Take cover as it moves up.
  6. Clear the next area with a great view of the outside battle going on around Omega. Take note of the guardians using shields. Once clear, enter the door on the right hand side. Before you enter, grab the “Assault Rifle High-Velocity Barrel”. Enter the elevator, then access the panel.
  7. Upon exiting the elevator, follow the corridors. You’ll see a sign above that says “Solar Electronics”. Move through the door and take cover, as you clear the marketplace. Head toward the end of the room, toward the “Defense System”. Aria will hack the door, but it needs to be re-pressurized. Take cover and defend the area as a wave of enemies arrive.
  8. Once the room has been fully pressurized, head through the doors. You’ll see a crashed pod in the corridor. Push forward to the next room, the defense station. You’ll face troopers, centurions, combat engineers and guardians.
  9. When the defense station is clear, head to the console with the hologram of Omega, then access the panel to gain back control of the defense system. During the cut-scene you can perform a renegade response to shoot a camera. If you’re going paragon, wait it out and Aria will do it. The push to take Omega isn’t over yet.

Continuing the Push

  1. Head toward the rendezvous point after taking control of the defense system. Head inside the elevator, then use the panel. Upon exit, quickly access the wall safe on the left, then take cover by the counter. Eliminate the enemies ahead at the security checkpoint.
  2. Head down the stairs, then access the panel. You’ll have a nice view of the Omega skyline. To the right you’ll notice a red force field. Up ahead is a red shuttle. Check the body for credits and a “Pistol Heavy Barrel” nearby. Hang a left, then hop over the boxes as you see the narrow corridor up ahead with Aria’s crew. Eliminate the enemies stopping your progress in the corridor.
  3. Exit the corridor. You’ll pass by a shield pylon. Head down the stairs to the next elevator. Aria will recognize a mark from the Talon gang. Exit the elevator and move through the next corridor as you pass by some dead bodies. Head through the door.
  4. You’ll reach a broken walkway with crates that are on fire ahead. Drop down from the broken walkway. You’ll see one of Aria’s crew, a vorcha, examine the red force field. He won’t make it, due to a new enemy on the battlefield, the rampart mech. It’s armored up, so use your armor-piercing or incendiary rounds to kill it faster. Once the mechs are dealt with, follow Aria to the force field.
  5. She’ll show you a secret way through. Hop over the counter to the supply room. Grab the “Shotgun High-Velocity Barrel I” on the desk in the middle of the room, then continue down the ladder. Aria will meet an old friend, Nyreen, a female turian. She’ll join the squad. When you’re in control, head to the squad menu to distribute skill points. She has a skill named biotic protector, that applies a shield on herself at the expense of moving, shooting or using powers.
  6. Move through the room and grab the “N7 Valkyrie” before you exit. Keep following the corridors until you reach a ladder. Climb up and you’ll reach a lobby with a courtyard. An Atlas is ahead. Fire on the ground troops surrounding the Atlas as well. When the “engineer” appears, take him out as quickly as you can. It will trigger the need to access the gun turrets which will help you.
  7. However, the turrets will be on the far side, so you’ll have to cut a swath through some enemies as you move ahead. Take the left side of the courtyard as it will lead to the turret that you need to access, plus it will provide ample cover.
  8. When you can manage to access the cannons, do so quickly. It will end the battle right then and there, triggering a cut-scene as the trio head inside Aria’s Bunker. Inside the bunker, Nyreen, Shepard and Aria will chat for a bit.
  9. With things relatively safe inside the bunker, head to Aria to continue to take back the Omega facility.

Aria’s Bunker

  1. Talk to Aria when you’re ready to begin. Her plan? To enter Talon territory and gain an alliance with them to repress the Cerberus occupation. You can chat with her for more information about the situation, including Nyreen.
  2. After the conversation, some of the doors have been magically opened. Move through the armory by following the now lit green doors. When you reach the last door, you’ll leave Aria’s Bunker with Aria.
  3. Follow the corridor when you’re in control again, then move across the walkways to the ladder ahead. When you reach the top use the “airlock”, then follow the air shaft that leads to Talon territory. You’ll reach a control room. Use the control switch for the generator, then access the “air seal” to open the rest of the shafts.
  4. Move down the ladder once you see the Talon Outpost. Move down the stairs, then through the door, down more stairs, then through another door. You’ll enter a room full of enemies with blinded windows on the right side. Clear the room as well as a cluster of enemies that arrive through the door across the way.
  5. Move through the next door with a med station ahead. Exit the room through the door. You’ll reach another room with a lone enemy in a lab. Shoot him, then his buddy. Enter the room with the terminals. Grab a datapad in here, then access the “Cerberus Lockdown” panel to deactivate it.
  6. You’ll hear the door across open with sirens blaring. Rampart mechs will arrive along with guardians. Take them out as they pour out of the door. Move down the room. On the right where a holographic map of the area is, is an injured turian. Revive him if you wish, then head through the door to the elevator.
  7. Upon exiting the elevator, make a right. Down the hallway, will be more enemies. Defend this area for a bit and let the enemies come to you, then move down the hallway. You’ll reach “04 Cargo”. As you move from cover to cover, take out the enemies in your path, then head up the small flight of stairs to the circular shuttle pad, after an enemy shuttle drops off more enemies.
  8. Defend this circular pad as you peer down the stairs. Another shuttle will arrive. Make use of this choke point. When the shuttle enemies have been taken care of, keep moving down to the next set of doors. Bypass them.
  9. You’ll reach a cut-scene with Cerberus operatives trying to get information from a Talon member. As this happens, Nyreen will be seen above and eliminate the group. She’ll now be in your party after she kicks all kinds of ass.
  10. Enter the elevator. It will ascend. Exit the elevator to the cargo processing room. When you enter, rampart mechs will arrive. Defend the initial area, then take out the enemies as they approach the bridge so your fire will be concentrated. An Atlas will then arrive. Give it everything you got to take it down. Grab some ammo before you head through the next door across the room.
  11. Enter the elevator. It will suddenly stop. Shoot the latch on the panel, then access it for a ladder to drop. Move around the elevator shaft. Continue to descend until you reach a door. Follow the corridor. You’ll enter a long walkway with the Talon Outpost just ahead. Grab the medkit, then divert your attention toward the Talon Outpost marker.
  12. Enemies will arrive across the corridor, including phantoms. Take note that there are two walkways in the area, both parallel to each other. The right most walkway contains a “Sniper Rifle Thermal Scope”. Grab some ammo along the way as you move down the narrow walkways.
  13. When you reach the end, the door will be jammed. Immediately face the opposite direction and you’ll see snipers above shooting at you from a balcony. Nyreen will hack the terminal. You’ll now need to defend the area as enemies drop from the balcony. Just dig in and eventually the ceiling will close above, allowing you enter the door.
  14. Move through the doors, then into an elevator, to reach the Talon Outpost. After conversing with Nyreen for a bit, once you’re in control, make a right and grab the “Shotgun Omni-Blade” near the cot.
  15. When you’re ready to continue, talk to Nyreen.

Talon Territory

  1. When you’re ready, talk to Nyreen to continue. A conversation will occur between the three. Aria will then speak to the people of Omega. Afterward, Cerberus will launch an offensive outside the Talon Outpost. It’s up to you and Aria to secure the landing pads.
  2. Move down to the pair of biotics creating spheres, then make a right. Open the door ahead. It will lead to the landing pads. Take cover by the barriers. Clear the entire room. They’re mostly made up of Cerberus troops so they should be fairly easy to dismantle, however, rampart mechs will arrive shortly.
  3. After taking care of the landing pads, Nyreen calls for help by the main door. Run to the blast doors, then take cover. Defend this area as well as the wave of troops that come bounding toward your position. Focus on the Atlas when it gets closer as you pick off the ground troops. Nyreen will join you here. When the battle is over, the Talons will join the cause to free Omega.
  4. After the loading screen, you’ll be back at Aria’s main base. To continue, talk to Aria at the command console. But before you go, access “Harrot’s Emporium” to grab some mods for your guns if you like.
  5. After talking with Aria, you’ll find out that the force fields are powered deep inside the mines. After the plan is confirmed, head to the exit. You can talk with Nyreen and Aria about the situation before you exit the bunker.
  6. After you exit the elevator, you’ll pry open the door. It’s dark here, and you’ll be using your flashlight. You’ll find dead bodies, but they’re Cerberus. Move through the walkways. Eventually, you’ll spot a group of dead bodies along the walkway soaked in blood. Proceed through and you’ll reach an elevator. Oh, and there’s an adjutant around.
  7. When you reach the elevator that goes to the mines, it’s powered down. Take note of the pipes that power the door. They’re glowing reddish/yellow. Follow them along the wall. You’ll reach a ladder. Climb it, then when you reach the top, make a right and drop onto the pipes. Move along the pipes. You’ll have to jump over to another set of pipes to continue. Keep following the pipes. You’ll reach a ladder. Climb down, then access the power module.
  8. During the cut-scene an adjutant bursts through the window. Use flare and overload on it, plus incendiary rounds. It will take it out quickly. When it’s dead, move through the door behind the ladder. Head back to the elevator that leads to the mines. The lights will be on this time. More adjutants will arrive. Take cover and hold them off until they’re all dead. Keep your distance from them if you can.
  9. Access the elevator. Upon exiting, run through the long walkway. It’s pretty high up. Grab some ammo after you cross the bridge. Troops will be waiting ahead. Eliminate them as you move forward. Head toward the yellow pipes, then past the pistons. The maintenance elevator will be in view, however, trying to reach it will destroy the bridge.
  10. To find the alternate route across, back track a bit, and climb down the ladder. Take cover, dig in, and neutralize the enemies on the balcony. Look for the caged room, “Maintenance Area”. Use the door controls, pick up the “Pistol Heavy Barrel IV”, then climb down the ladder.
  11. Follow the path underneath. You’ll come across more enemies. This time, you’ll fight rampart mechs and nemesises. When you exit the maintenance area, climb the ladder, then head up the flight of stairs. More Cerberus troops will be waiting. Once they’re down for the count. Move straight ahead, until you see the access elevator on the right. Use it.
  12. Exit the elevator, access the door, then take out the combat engineer. On the right side of the hallway, you’ll find a “Chakram Launcher” on a dead body. On the other side, will be a body pinned in between some doors. Grab some salvage, then exit through the wall. You’ll see a glowing blue turbine below. Climb down the ladder, then follow the walkway until you reach the next elevator.
  13. When you reach the top, you’ll come upon the gigantic reactor, powering the forcefields around Omega. When you get close to the reactor, the forcefields will turn on as Petrovsky talks to the team in holographic form. Aria will then try to create a hole through the forcefield.
  14. During this time, you’ll only have control of Nyreen. Rampart mechs will arrive as Aria tries to make a hole through. Stay on the rim of this circular area. There are boxes you can take cover behind. Position Nyreen to focus on one side, while you focus on the other. It might be difficult, but try to conserve ammo here.
  15. After a bit, Aria will open the forcefield. You’ll head through as a lone wolf. It’s up to you to head to the reactor. You’ll have to fight by yourself as you push ahead. If you saved ammo, you can take most of the enemies out. Or you could always melee them to death. However, if you’re running out of ammo, just take cover to replenish your shields if you have to, and run up to the reactor.
  16. When you reach it, Aria will keep telling you to overload the reactor. Petrovsky will also play a part, trying to influence your decisions. You’ll be given three chances to push the button to overload the reactor. However, they will be renegade responses. If you’re going paragon, don’t press anything.
  17. Eventually the forcefield will go down allowing Omega’s citizens to fight back, or possibly not, if you went renegade. After the fight, you’ll be conversing with Aria and Nyreen again. You can back up Nyreen with a paragon response here.
  18. Afterward, it’s the final push to Afterlife via the central tunnels.

Assault on Afterlife

  1. Exit the elevator with Aria. Access the workbench if you need to. Across the workbench is a “Sniper Rifle Thermal Scope II” and a med kit. Head up the stairs, then take cover at the doorway. Take out the rampart mechs ahead, then exit the room.
  2. Head left as you overlook a huge fan, glowing red, looming in the distance. Fight your way across this area, marked “Zone 4″ as you walk along the catwalks over the water. When you reach the end, enter the dam control room and access the console. A bridge will extend across. Head through the door marked “Central Support”.
  3. Take out the enemies in the corridor. Follow it until you reach the other side. The door with the green panel is a storage room where you can grab some creds. To continue, bypass the door with the orange panel. Enter the room, head left, then drop down. You’ll slide down. Deactivate the fan, hop over to the terminal area, then secure the area.
  4. Access the panel controls once the enemies have been dealt with. Unfortunately the bombs go live here. From here you’ll need to circle the room, while taking out enemies, to disable the explosives on the supports. After the bombs have been disabled, secure the room. Follow Aria, then speak to her. She’ll destroy the fan for a more direct approach.
  5. Bypass the door, then keep climbing the ladders. Enter the door and you’ll see an adjutant taking out a Cerberus guard through a window. Follow the corridor to the next room. Enter the room that says “Gozu District” to grab some creds, then continue following the walkway to the bottom floor. You can watch a video log here to get some background on the adjutants.
  6. Exit the bottom floor on the left. The door will be locked, but Aria will open it. Through the window, you’ll be witness to another battle. Head through and help out the Talons by destroying the Atlas and troops ahead. Once the enemies have been dealt with, head to the door that says “Gozu District” in blue neon light.
  7. Climb the ladder. Move through the corridors. Grab the “Pistol Heavy Barrel V” before you leave the first room. Keep moving through the doors until you reach an enemy turret. Take it out as well as the troops alongside it, then head up the stairs. You’ll be in Talon territory. Keep moving through the corridor, until you reach Nyreen. Before the final door, where a barricade is set up, you can grab a “Shotgun Omni-Blade II”. Use the elevator to reach Nyreen, however, she’s not there and she’ll go radio-silent.
  8. Exit the elevator. Aria will figure out that she’s gone to Afterlife. Outside of Afterlife, you’ll watch Nyreen’s last stand. It pushes Aria to pull off some insane biotics.
  9. Follow her as she demolishes her way inside Afterlife. As she attacks Petrovsky, Aria will get caught. It’s up to you to free her now. You’ll be facing adjutants and Cerberus troops here. I recommend actually just running around and activating the override consoles and keeping the enemies at a distance.
  10. Each time you override a console, you’ll need to head back to the center and destroy a shield generator to free Aria. Just keep moving and soon she’ll be set free. Once she’s free, clear the room, then head up to where Petrovsky is. He’ll surrender.
  11. Participate in the last bit of conversation before Shepard leaves Aria with the people of Omega once again.
