LA Noire: Reefer Madness DLC Walkthrough

Reefer Madness

1. Find this new case under the Vice Desk Case File, it follows The Black Caesar and comes before The Set Up.
2. Starting off, leave the station and get in your car. Set Mike Lyman’s Bar as your location, and take off.
3. Arriving at Mike Lyman’s Bar, enter through the double doors. You’ll find your contact in the back, smoking a cigarette at one of the booths. Talk to him for some information.
4. Next stop – Juan Garcia Cruz’s Residence. As you arrive, you’ll be shot at by two men armed with submachine guns.
5. Instead of taking the two gunmen head on, sneak left while behind cover and run along the blue fence. Jump the fence and enter the home from behind.
6. Once inside the house, shoot down both suspects. When they’re down, you’ll be free to collect evidence.
7. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: Forcible Rear Entry (20G): Enter the Las Palmas stash house via the back door and kill Juan Garcia Cruz.
8. Start the hunt by searching the dead body. Search his left jacket pocket to find a wallet. Tap the ID for a name. Search Juan’s right jacket pocket for a silver dollar.
9. Step outside to talk to a neighbor, he’ll tell you to search the chicken coop in Juan’s backyard. Inside the chicken coop, search middle cabinet where you’ll see four cans. Pick up the brown can, second from the left or third from the right. Pulling on that can opens a secret door.
10. Enter the secret room, and look on the cabinet next to the can opener. Pick up both cans and open them with the can opener.
11. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: Soup In The Pot (20G): Open both soup cans in Juan Garcia Cruz’s stash room.
12. For the last clue, look on the desk for a delivery ledger. Tap on any entry listed at “50 lbs” to get your last clue.
13. That’s all the important clues, but there’s still a few more you’ll want before leaving. Return to the dead body in the living room, nearby on one of the crates you’ll find a notepad. Pick up the notepad, a nonsense word is written on the pad. Keep it in mind.
14. The truly final clue you’ll find inside the bedroom. On a box in the corner, pick up the newspaper and manipulate it until you find a clue.
15. Set 20th Century Market as your destination. When you arrive, the clerk will run. Catch up with him to investigate.
16. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: High Flyer (20G): Find the flyer at Juan Garcia Cruz’s house and proceed straight to the 20th Century Market.
17. The suspect will hand over a baggy of marijuana, he’ll also hand over a silver coin. When he gives you his wallet, tap his ID.
18. Person of Interest: Airto Sanchez
19. Q: Knowledge of ‘E.J.’ – A: Lie → Any silver coin.
20. Q: Parnell’s Soup shipments – A: Doubt
21. Q: Juan and Jorge Cruz – A: Truth
22. The bust will begin right away if you go to 20th Century Market first. If you go to Parnell’s Soup Co. Factory first, you’ll talk to the greeter. She’ll take you to Howard Parnell.
23. Before the interrogation with Parnell starts, he’ll show you a ledger. Tap on Jorge Garcia Cruz’s name in the ledger, and start the interrogation.
24. Person of Interest: Howard Parnell
25. Q: Factory sealed soup cans – A: Doubt
26. Q: Parnell’s Soup Company – A: Doubt

29. After the questioning, Parnell will show you the factory. When you meet a new suspect, check out the ledger on his desk. Tap the 20th Century Market listing on the page.
30. Person of Interest: Sergio Rojas
31. Q: Factory sealed soup cans – A: Doubt
32. Q: 20th Century Market – A: Lie → Any silver dollar.
33. After completing the factory, you’ll reach take off for the 20th Century Market. After completing the 20th Century Market – whether you went there first or second, you’ll raid the Parnell’s Soup Co. Factory afterward.
34. When the cutscene ends, follow the cops inside. Begin the raid by entering the factory floor either through the first or second floor. Shoot down the many criminals inside to finish the encounter. It’s a big fight, starting on the second floor will give you an advantage with plenty of cover.
35. With the gunfight over, search the factory for three major clues; search the body laying in the machinery repair shack. Pick up his wallet, tap the ID and pick up the silver coin in his right hand.
36. Next, open the box near Earle to find a large stash. After looking, a cop will call you over to a body. Follow him upstairs to search the body. Look in his right hand and manipulate the roll of cash. Look in his front pocket for another silver coin.
37. After the conversation, Ray Pinker will lay out all the silver coins you’ve discovered. Use the coins to spell out “Masanakay”, from the note you found in Juan Garcia Cruz’s Residence. It spells out, “Masangkay Metals”, which is your last location for this case.
38. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: Spare A Dime (20G): Complete the puzzle of the US Morgan silver dollars at Parnell’s Soup.
39. Set Masangkay Metals as your destination and drive there. At the old warehouse, you’ll need to find a way in. Follow the fence left around the corner until you find a section with no barbed wire. Climb over the fence, and enter the warehouse from the back.
40. Inside the warehouse, three men are sitting at a card table. Shoot all three as they try to get up, and lookout for one more criminal armed with a tommy gun. Grab the tommy gun and follow Earle upstairs.
41. On the second floor, you’ll have to navigate offices with dirty windows. Criminals hide inside the offices and try to surprise you, so play carefully or shoot out the windows before moving on.
42. Through the offices, you’ll reach a catwalk leading upstairs again. Four more goons will try to stop you before you reach the boss’ office. Kick down the door to complete the case.
43. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: Every Herb Bearing Seed (20G): Complete ‘Reefer Madness’.
