Those who aspire to own their own hotels would love to get their hands on Hotel Story, the new social building game from Happy Labs. Players can build their hotels from the ground up, and they can earn a lot of cash from guests; money that they can use to further expand and improve on the buildings that they own while being able to provide the quality service that their clients want and deserve.
Gameplay
Hotel Story requires players to build their very own hotel that customers can visit. The bigger and the better your hotel, the more visitors would come in, bringing in their cash with them. The game requires proper time and management, as most enhancements would require money, manpower, as well as time to complete. The better you manage your hotel, the faster you can build it up, and you can even create and upgrade your buildings so that you can better rake in the cash.
Currency
Like in most games, there are two types of currency within Hotel Story. The primary currency are coins, which players can collect from guests as well as from the various items that you have installed within your hotel like rooms and vending machines. Coins can be used to purchase additional decorations, and they can also be used to purchase additional buildings and upgrade rooms.
The other type of currency is gems, which act as the premium currency within the game. Gems can be acquired by purchasing them using real money, and can also be earned by completing quests. Gems are used to purchase special items for use in the hotel, and can also be used to speed up building.
Building
Almost all items in the hotel require a build time once you have purchased them using coins or gem. Additionally, players are required to place a worker in order for construction to be completed. The better the item being constructed, such as premium rooms, the longer it will take to build, although you can speed up the process by using gems. When speeding up build times, you would have to spend gems specified for the situation. Take note that you cannot speed up build times in intervals; it is an all or nothing affair so make sure to spend gems wisely in this scenario.
Most built items will generate coins in time. Items and buildings have a maximum storage capacity, so you do not need to collect coins right after they appear. However, items will not generate additional coins once they reach their maximum capacities, so make sure to collect once it reaches its limit so that you can make the most out of your earnings.
Upgrades are also available so that you will be able to collect more coins as well as increase its maximum coin capacity. Additional workers are also available, although these have to be purchased using gems, if ever you want to do multiple builds at the same time. You can also upgrade your buildings so that they will have more space for you to put rooms and other items in, although these might cost a lot of coins to do.
Items
Special items can be bought at the store, or can be found by guests randomly. You can use these items in order to upgrade rooms and other amenities within your hotel.
Tours
You can assign your workers to take guests for tours around your hotel. You can set the time that it will take for the tour to complete. The longer the tour, the more money that you will earn; the maximum amount of time for each tour is 12 hours.
Quests
Players can also complete quests in order to earn special awards. There are many different objectives to complete, and the quests list is very helpful in pointing out which steps to take in order to complete the assigned task. This will also ensure that you are getting the most out of your game.
Social Function
Like most online games, Hotel Story has a social function where you can visit and view other people’s hotels. Unfortunately, the game does not have Facebook integration as of this time, so you would have to manually input their game IDs so that you can follow them.
