However, don’t expect this game to be a stroll in the park as you will definitely experience some challenges ahead. Get set for a very stimulating game and don’t forget to read this guide so that you’ll know what to expect.

Gameplay
Farm Heroes Saga is a match three game where players can swap cropsies in a fixed tile in order to create matches of three or more. There are a required number of crops to collect for each level, and some stages also have special conditions such as having to collect flowers and getting around other obstacles. Currency earned can be used to purchase powerups which would help you advance through further levels and the occasional boss battle, both of which must be cleared within a set number of moves.

Currency
Gold and magic beans are the two main currencies within the game. Both of these currencies are used in purchasing powerups, and both can also be earned by solving puzzles – although gold is rewarded much less sparingly. Gold can also be used to purchase additional lives and, as this is considered as the premium currency, may also be purchased using real cash.

Lives
Each time a player fails to acquire the required amount of cropsies within the set number or moves or if the player decides to quite the stage prematurely, he/she will lose a life. Lives regenerate over time, but players can also choose to refill them using gold, or ask Facebook friends for additional lives so that they can continue playing. Players may also choose to give lives in order to help out their friends. This gives connecting the game to their Facebook accounts a lot of importance, so make sure that you do this if you intend to play for much longer.

Scoring
Players can earn as much as three stars during each round. The number of stars that you earn would depend on how many cropsies you have collected. By being able to meet the bare minimum requirements, players will earn one star. Exceeding those by certain percentages will earn players more stars and, consequently, more magic beans. This is why players must ensure that they collect as many cropsies as possible in order to get more stars and more rewards. Players can also choose to replay stages that they have already completed in order to win stars that they have not acquired yet.

Scoring
Scoring within Farm Heroes Saga is pretty simple to understand. Making a match of three will earn you three crops of that particular kind. It will also have the added effect of adding a score to adjacent required cropsies. Additional combos during that move will further add to the adjacent cropsies’ scores. Collecting cropsies with boosted scores will significantly increase your collection as compared to the usual three. However, this number will be gone once you have made another move.

Making matches of four will add a higher number to adjacent cropsies, while making matches of five will eliminate and collect all cropsies of that type on the grid. This will then be added to our score. Matches of cropsies in the shape of an L or a T will also provide you with some benefits, so make sure that you make each move count by making matches that fit any of the above criterias or at least make use of chaining to further increase your score.

Hero Mode
Once players have completed the minimum requirements to clear the stage with remaining moves left, Hero Mode will be activated. Under Hero Mode, additional scores would be provided to random cropsies, and you would be allowed to use up all of your moves. This is the best way to acquire that elusive three star accomplishment, so make sure that you use chaining techniques and make matches of more than three so that you can complete the puzzle faster and have more moves left for Hero Mode.

Boss Battles
Boss Battles pretty much work in the same way as regular puzzles. The main difference is that there is no required number of cropsies to collect. Instead, there will be a set off cropsies that you can collect so that the health of Rancid the Raccoon would be depleted to zero. As with regular puzzles, this must be done before you run out of moves, or else you would have to repeat the stage.

Boss Battles will also provide you with the option to spend magic beans so that you can deal more damage to the enemy. The more magic beans that you spend, the faster you would be able to take down Rancid. You can, of course, choose not to spend any magic beans, although finishing the stage would be tougher without it.

Farm Animals
There are also stages where in players can win farm animals depending on the number of stars that they earn in the level. While having all farm animals will not affect gameplay, completists might want to collect all of them in order to complete their farm. These stages play out just like the usual puzzles, so players can go back to them so that they can earn all three stages and collect them all.

Powerups
Like most match three games, Farm Heroes Saga allows players to utilize different powerups that can help them throughout the game. Examples of these are Extra Moves that will add five extra moves for you to finish the puzzle, although these would have to be used before actually playing the level. There are also shovels that will allow you to automatically collect a cropsie of your choice as well as to remove certain obstacles, and tractors that will allow players to collect and remove an entire row of cropsies.

Some powerups can be purchased by using gold, while other will require you to use magic beans. Also, some powerups will be given to you free of charge as these would regenerate over time. If you find yourself in need of these powerups, however, you can always purchase more. Using powerups is completely optional, but these would definitely make finishing puzzles much easier for you especially during the latter stages of the game where there are more cropsies to collect and more obstacles and special crops and objects in the way of your objective.
