2. Levels
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Resogun is comprised of five different levels. You have to beat the levels in order on the same difficulty to unlock the levels for each difficulty in the game. The levels are split up into multiple phases, with each phase having a certain number of humans that you can save and its own batch of enemies.

The humans are saved by destroying the enemy that is keeping them locked up, or their “Keeper”. Whenever a Keeper is nearby, you will hear “Keeper Detected” through the DualShock 4′s speaker. That means that a human can be saved. The human that can be saved will have their cell flash green.

After finding the Keeper, destroy it and return to the human before it can be killed by other means. Then collect the human simply by touching it with your ship. When the human has been collected, the next goal is to drop it off in one of the UFOs that are at the top of the screen. Do this by flying in close to the UFO’s beam, or by throwing the human into the beam by pressing L2.

These are the difficulties available in the game:

Rookie
Experience
Veteran
Master
Hero

ACIS
====
This is the first level of the game. Since it is the first level and therefore the easiest, it is wise to go for a lot of the trophies that are not level specific on this stage.

The boss here is a couple of giant circles that will fire lasers and try to crush your ship. Shoot its obvious weak points to destroy its layers, all the while avoiding the laser beams it fires. Keep at it until the boss is destroyed.

When fighting bosses, keep an eye on the bottom of the screen. It is there where you will find their health bar.

=====
CERES
=====
In level 2, the boss is once again spherical in shape. This time, it rotates very slowly, making its weak points hard to reach at times. Whenever its weak points are completely impossible to hit by your ship, you can speed around to the opposite end of the boss for a better chance at damaging it.

======
DECIMA
======
The level 3 boss is a large cube that will try to crush you while chasing you around the level. This boss has blue armor on it. Its weak spot is the red core that is beyond its armor. Shoot your way through the armor and then you will be able to hit the core.

======
FEBRIS
======
The boss in this level is the same as the boss from the last level, except this time it is a sphere instead of a cube. The same exact strategy applies here.

=======
MEFITIS
=======
This boss has multiple forms and provides a challenge far steeper than the rest of the bosses in the game. The first form will just be it looking like a giant snake and chasing you around the level. Firing at its blue armor will damage it, unlike the previous bosses where the blue armor just protected the core. So keep firing away its body until it enters the second phase.

The snake will disappear from the level. Red lines will appear at various parts of the stage, indicating where the snake is about to strike. Fire behind you and keep moving around the level, using boost to avoid taking damage from the tentacles. Hitting the tentacles will do damage to the boss.

When this form is done, the boss will now turn into a three-headed snake and fire at you like crazy. There will be lasers everywhere, so be very careful as you near it. Boost through its body and then fire behind you on the other side as you speed around the level again and keep repeating the process until it enters its fourth form.

The fourth form of the boss will have it teleporting its tentacles all over the field. Red circles indicate where the tentacles will pop up. Again, shoot the tentacles to damage the boss. You should be able to outrun the tentacles by yourself for the most part, but when they get too close, boost to get out of there before losing a life.

The final form of the boss will have it return to its original snake form, except it will now be FAR more aggressive with its lasers, firing at you like crazy from both directions. The trick is to get as close to the laser fire as possible but still having enough room to maneuver around them as they approach. Then just keep firing behind you and you should JUST be able to hit the boss. Keep doing this until its health bar is depleted and the boss is successfully defeated.
