Gameplay
Ski Safari Adventure Time is an endless runner type of game where the goal is to outrun the avalanche for as long as you can. As you control Finn the Human and various other characters that you may have purchased and unlocked, you can bounce, roll, as well as interact with various elements and other characters so that you can survive for longer. There are also other objects such as rocks that will delay your run, so make sure that you avoid these objects and recover fast because it’s game over once the avalanche catches up with you.

Players can also try and achieve the highest score by going farther distances, increasing their combo score, and buying upgrades that will provide them with special perks as well as various aesthetic effects.

Currency
There are two types of currencies within the game, namely coins and gems. Coins are earned by collecting them during your runs. Additional coins may also be acquired via in-app purchases. On the other hand, gems are most conveniently acquired using real money as well. Gems can be used so that you will be able to continue your run after you fail, as well as to buy premium items from the store. Coins can also be used to purchase more basic items in the shop, as well as upgrades that will improve certain elements within the game.

Missions
Missions come in sets of three, and completing each set will allow you to earn multipliers that will greatly increase your final score for each run. Missions include performing certain actions like flips, or travelling a minimum distance, among others. Missions may also encompass single runs or accumulate progress across multiple playthroughs, although more difficult ones can be skipped using coins. Make it a point to complete missions so that you will be able to get a much higher score for each run that you make.

Slopes
Slopes are new environments that you can purchase and gain access to. These will cost a lot of coins, however, so make sure to save up so that you can buy them quickly. High scores are also stored on a per slope basis, which makes getting these items beneficial especially if you want to brag about your personal bests.

Upgrades
Upgrades are improvements that are done to other characters that you will be able to encounter throughout the game such as Banana Guards, Bears, the Ice King, and even Jake, among others. As riding these characters would allow you to temporarily gain special abilities, upgrading them will make their effects better as well as last longer. Take note also that, the higher level upgrade you are trying to buy, the more coins it will cost, so it is recommended that you even out upgrades across all characters that you may get to encounter.

Boosts
Boosts are single use items that can be bought at the store. Buying these items will automatically trigger them during a run, and these will have beneficial effects to you such as attracting coins automatically, dashing a certain distance, and many more. Coins must be spent so that you can equip these types of items. Equip boosts especially if you are looking towards beating your personal score or if you are trying to reach and complete a particular mission.

Others
Players can also buy special skiers, which include different characters from Adventure Time, as well as new costumes that do not really add to your abilities, but are more of an aesthetic modification. Some items under these categories would cost coins, while others would require players to spend gems. In addition, some items would also require players to purchase or acquire prerequisite items before they can be unlocked and be made available.

It is also at the shop where players can purchase a coin doubler where the number of coins that they collect will be doubled forever, and where you can acquire extra coins and gems for real life cash. These purchases are not mandatory, but can be of real help especially if you want to get the most out of the game and if you have money to burn.
