Gameplay
Castle Doombad is a tower defense game where players must prevent heroes from taking the tower and rescuing the princess, which is restrained near the top of your tower. In order to do that, players must utilize both manual and auto traps as well as minions so that heroes would be crushed before they even come close to the princess. Be careful, though, as heroes will come in waves and can also enter the castle through different entry points.

Currency earned may be used to purchase new traps and other items as well as powerups that will provide you with an edge over the slew of heroes that will come your way.

Currency
Doom-shekels and evilness are the two currencies available within Castle Doombad. Doom-shekels are earned through regular gameplay, while evilness can be acquired by completing different quests. Doom-shekels are used to purchase new traps and missions. On the other hand, powerups may be purchased using evilness. Both of these currencies can be acquired by buying them using real life cash.

Traps
There are two types of traps available within the game. These are auto traps and manual traps. Auto traps are triggered automatically once heroes are within range, while manual traps would have to be triggered manually, and must spend some time before they can be used again. Traps will require screams before they can be placed in the castle, and there is also a cooldown period before another one can be used.

Both manual and auto traps can be unlocked at the store, after which players can choose which ones to bring. The number of slots that players can own can be increased by spending doom-shekels. Doom-shekels are also used whenever purchasing new traps or upgrading them, the latter of which will make them perform better on the field.

Minions
Minions behave like traps, such that they would consume space in your inventory slot, and must be purchased or unlocked and upgraded as well. The main difference between traps and minions is that minions do not consume space in your tower, and they will also actively approach and attack any heroes that are within their range.

Heroes
There are different types of heroes that will attack you, and you must adjust your strategy as well as the traps and minions that you will be bringing into battle. Some heroes would charge and try to reach the top of the tower without minding anything else, while others would attack and destroy any traps you have lain out. Others will also move much faster than usual and would also be able to resist damage. Furthermore, there would be others that will be able to climb ceilings.

Not all heroes would come in from the front door. Others will use ladders and use other modes of entry. That is why it is important to monitor all floors and to place traps in order to anticipate any and all forms of attack from any side.

Screams
Screams serve as the energy that are used when placing traps or minions. Different traps and minions will use up different amounts of screams, so make sure that you have enough especially if you are expecting a large amount of heroes to approach.

Screams can be harvested from the princess which would literally scream from time to time. You can also build scream generators that will provide additional resources for you. Lastly, fallen heroes would also scream, so make sure to collect them so that you’ll be able to gather enough to call on traps and minions.

Powerups
Players are provided with some powerups free of charge. However, evilness must be spent should you run out. Powerups provide you with benefits such as preventing heroes from taking your princess, as well as the ability to call on missiles that will attack all heroes. Lastly, there’s a powerup that will allow you to instantly call on any trap or minion in your inventory at no cost. Using the right powerup at the right powerup can allow you to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Don’t use them nonchalantly, though, as additional powerups would be costly.

To-Dooms
Completing To-Dooms, or quests, are the easiest way to earn evilness. To-Dooms would include completing certain achievements, some of which could easily be attained through regular gameplay. Others, however, would require you to go out of your way in order for them to be completed. Should you have enough Doom-shekels, you can spend them to skip To-Dooms so that you can instantly be rewarded with the number of evilness associated with that particular task.
