Gameplay
Deadman’s Cross is a card collection battle game where in players would be able to acquire and manage different hordes of zombies, or Deadmen, that they can put to play when battling other hordes, either during quests or during PvP mode in the Boneyard. There’s also a FPS element within the title which is basically the mechanic on how to capture more Deadmen to add to your horde. Being able to strengthen your horde is essential in winning, which is why doing jobs and acquiring items that will be able to boost individual cards or your deck as a whole is essential.

Currency
Hardware and Deadman coins are the two main currencies within Deadman’s Cross. Hardware can be earned by simply doing jobs and winning battles, while Deadman coins are much harder to come by. Winning in Clan events or in high profile PvP tournaments might net you this type of currency, but the best way to collect a respectable amount is via in-app purchases.

Hardware is used for feeding your Deadmen, while Deadman coins are used for purchasing elite Hunting tickets as well as premium items like energy drinks. Having enough of both kinds of currency will be pretty helpful if you want to beat enemies faster, but having premium currency is optional although you would pretty much get decimated by players that have developed their hordes using Deadmen coins and Elite Hunts rather than standard hunts.

Leveling Up
Doing jobs and participating in battles will earn players experience points which, in turn, allows players to level up. Not only will leveling up completely refill your stamina, but this will also unlock more content such as new areas to discover. This will also increase your card and friend capacity, among others, allowing you to get more in terms of card choices as well as other benefits. Thus, leveling up is a great way to improve your horde as a whole, and players need not worry as normal and constant gameplay will allow you to level up with ease.

Energy
Energy is required for jobs that will require you to search. Walking will expend energy, and so thus losing to Deadman battles during these missions. Energy regenerates at a rate of one every three minutes, but players can instantly refill their Energy meters by either leveling up or using an Energy drink which can either be bought using premium currency or won as rewards. Make sure that you have enough Energy whenever you would like to go through lengthy missions at a much faster speed.

Deadmen
Players can build a teeam of Deadmen that they can take either in mission or PvP battles. Like most card collection games, Deadmen differ in abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and other statistics, which is why having the right team with you will definitely be an advantage. Some Deadmen also have skills, while all have different strains that would either be strong or weak against other strains, so being able to pick which one works best with each other as against which types of opponents will be very advantageous.

Rarity is also an issue, as rarer Deadmen are typically more powerful than even common Deadmen with much higher levels. It would be wise to have a deck with rare and high level Deadmen especially during tougher fights. Unused Deadmen can be used for feeding or can be sold off for additional hardware.

Capturing Deadmen
Capturing Deadmen will require players to participate in a shooting mini game where Deadmen that have been captured will automatically be added to your roster, which can then be in turn added to your horde. This will require players to select an area to hunt as well as to select which course they would like to hunt in.

Players will be allowed to hunt in the standard course free once per day, and they can also use Hunting tickets that they may have acquired as rewards. Alternatively, they can also spend premium currency so that they would be able to hunt in the Elite course. The former will only yield standard Deadmen, while the latter will have a higher chance of getting you rare, epic, or even legendary cards. Of course, this means that Elite hunts will also be much more costly.

When hunting, simply shoot at Deadmen that you can see through your scope. Players will be given sixty seconds to bag any Deadmen that they see. Time can be lengthened by bagging yellow zombies, while you will not be able to move for a short period of time should you get attacked. There are also zombies that are vulnerable. This means that they can be taken out with one shot. Take note also that where you hit Deadmen do not matter with relation to how much damage would be incurred.

Upgrading Deadmen
Captured Deadmen can also be upgraded in order to make them stronger and more capable in battle. This can be done in one of two ways, feeding or boosting. Feeding will require players to sacrifice other cards so that the target card’s experience would increase, while boosting will allow players to feed their Deadmen with special items that will upgrade certain attributes. At certain points, your Deadmen will also gain better and more powerful abilities once they level up enough.

When feeding, sacrificing Deadmen of the same strain as the target will have a better effect, although sacrificing higher level cards will also increase the hardware required as payment. Upgrading Deadmen, especially your more powerful ones, is a very important part of maintaining a powerful horde that will be much tougher to beat.

Jobs
Players can perform different kinds of jobs, but they can only perform one Hunt job and one Explore job at a time. Once a particular job has been accomplished, more will open up. Hunt jobs will often require players to hunt a certain number of Deadmen of any or of a particular kind, while Explore jobs will have players performing tasks and navigating through different areas while facing random hordes along the way.

Once jobs have been completed, players must report back to the Job Board and report in. After this, they would be able to claim their reward in the Gifts section. Rewards can range from hunting tickets, currency, to items that can be used to upgrade your Deadmen.

Boneyard
The Boneyard is where players can engage in competition with other hordes controlled by players from all over the world. Here, players would be able to increase their reputation as well as earn many rewards such as boost items, hunting tickets, and many more. This is done by players participating in tournaments and selecting three players to do battle with. Points earned during those three battles will determine rankings for a particular tournament. The higher players place, the bigger rewards they will get.

Sometimes, special rules such as having no duplicate Deadmen on your horde would be present. Participating in Boneyard tournaments will require passes, and more tournaments will open up once players level up.

Clan Events
Clan events are special events that are only available for a limited time. Here, players will be able to join together to perform tasks, and at the end of the event, those who were able to participate in these events will be rewarded based on their contributions. Thus, participating in clan events should always be looked out for as they would be able to provide you with rewards even if you don’t do a lot, although it would still be pretty much recommended if you do your share for both your own and your clan’s glory.

Social Function
Deadman’s Cross also has a social function where in players can invite friends to join and connect with each other. Joining via referral code or sharing our own code with others will enable you to earn special rewards such as rare cards. Players will also be able to trade items and message each other via online chat. Lastly, having lots of friends will allow players to play a Lottery type game where in special prizes are randomly up for grabs. Thus, the more friends you connect with and refer the game to, the bigger the chances of you getting special items for free.
