The Flintstones: Bring Back Bedrock Walkthrough [Guide]

A nasty meteor shower has destroyed the town of Bedrock, and it’s up to everyone’s favorite caveman to restore their beloved home. The Flintstones: Bring Back Bedrock comes from the same vein as Simpsons: Tapped Out and Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff, so players can expect the same type of addictive gameplay – plus tons of characters and elements native to the classic cartoon. With that, get ready to play one of the most enjoyable games set in the stone ages, and here’s our guide to get you started.

Gameplay
The Flintstones: Bring Back Bedrock is a building simulation game where in players must manage their time and resources by letting characters perform actions that will then unlock more content in the game. Each character and interactive object can be commanded to perform an action, sometimes independent from each other or sometimes requiring certain characters or items. These would in turn help in the completion of missions which would unlock episodes that will then push the story forward.

Currency
Clams and gold are the two main currencies within the game. Clams serve as the basic currency, and it can be used mainly for buying items that you will use around the house. Clams can be acquired by completing actions and missions, and can also be collected from certain buildings around town. Clams may also be awarded as player’s level up or purchased using gold.

Gold, on the other hand, is the game’s premium currency. It can be used to speed up the completion of actions as well as buildings, and it can also be used to purchase premium items in the store. Gold can be acquired by completing achievements, leveling up, or via in-app purchases.

Experience
Yaba-Daba-Doo points serve as the game’s experience. By completing actions and missions, players will be able to earn Yaba-Daba-Doo points. Once enough has been earned, players will be rewarded with stones, gold, and clams. This will also unlock certain items such as gizmosaurs which can then be added to your home and around town.

Stones
Stones are used for rebuilding Bedrock, and it can be acquired in a variety of ways. Getting it from the quarry is the most efficient way, however, and players can get a huge quantity of it every couple of hours unless players would like to speed up the process using gold. Gold can also be used to purchase stones outright. Stones are a very important element within the game as it helps you rebuild the town faster if you have enough of this resource.

Building
Players can build rooms as they rebuild their home, and they can also build other structures in the surrounding areas. Players will often need stones as well as time in order to complete building. New buildings will allow certain characters to interact with these areas, and often they are also required for the completion of episodes. Lastly, some buildings, such as the supermarket, will allow players to collect resources such as Clams and stones from them.

Should players run out of room to build, space must be cleared by removing meteors from the area. Players may also rearrange items that they have placed so that they can clear up more space and so that the town would look just the way that players want it. As players progress through the game, new areas will also be unlocked, providing them with new space to build on.

Characters
Two types of characters are available within the game, the regular Flintstones characters and Gizmosaurs. Flintstones characters will get unlocked as players progress through the episodes, while Gizmosaurs, which are essentially appliances and equipment represented by animals, can be bought at the store. There are also certain items that players can interact with, and these can be bought as well and will be made available as players level up and progress through the game.

All characters can be commanded to perform actions, and some can be done solo while others will require certain characters or items to be free. Players can free up characters that are performing actions by speeding up the process, but this would require players to spend gold. Completing actions is essential for earning resources as well as Yaba-Daba-Doo points, and most of the time these are also required for the completion of quests.

If you will be leaving the game for extended periods of time, make it a point to have characters perform longer actions as these would yield bigger rewards. Conversely, have characters do shorter actions if you are actively waiting for something within the game as these, when accumulated, will provide bigger rewards than performing a single long task.

Episodes
Episodes are essentially a series of tasks that a player must perform. Players can do multiple episodes simultaneously, and completing each as well as the entire episode will reward players with items such as stones, clams, and experience. Episodes will also allow players to unlock new characters which would be included within the game.

Achievements
Achievements are special objectives that players can complete either through regular gameplay or by grinding. Achievements can be won only one time, and rewards mostly come in the form of gold. Objectives include buying a certain number of Gizmosaurs or collecting a minimum amount of clams. Players can check up on the Achievements section in order to see which ones they are close to completing if they are in need of gold fast.

Social Function
By connecting the game to Facebook, players can visit other friends’ neighborhoods where they can help out in search for rewards. Rewards often come in the form of gold, so having a lot of friends is a must if you want to get the most out of the game. Of course, this is completely optional, and you can play the game completely on your own.
