Square Enix’s entry into the exploding card battle genre, Guardian Cross, is an excellent merger of the trading card and traditional RPG genres. In this game, you can have up to 10 cards in your active party, both in the quests and in the coliseum, so it’s important that you field the most powerful cards that you can get. There are plenty of ways to get three, four, and five-star rare cards, so read on to find out how!
Rare guardians are actually fairly plentiful in the normal hunting courses. There are plenty of three-star cards in the hunting courses, so use all of your free hunts and your hunting tickets to get into the hunting ground as often as possible. Hunt as many guardians as you can in the short period of time that you get.
The special course can only be accessed by getting a special hunting ticket or by buying your way in with 100 coins. You can get a special hunting ticket either by paying 1,500 friend points (which you can do by having more friends and staging mock battles against your friends) or from random drops as you beat enemies in the quests and the subquests. The special course has nothing but 3 to 5 star cards.
Send someone who doesn’t play the game your invite ID (especially if they are your friend in another TCG such as Rage of Bahamut or Montopia) and if they sign up using your ID, you will get limited edition or rare cards. Right now, the event is that if you do that, you will get Final Fantasy character cards, which are extremely powerful.
Fight in the Coliseum and place very high, and you’ll be more likely to win a rare card as a prize. If you place first in the Coliseum, you can win a 5-star card, such as Leviathan. In addition, keep checking the events that are currently happening in the game. To see them again, close out of the game, and then reopen it, and you will get a popup window showing you all of the current events going on. New ones are added all the time, so keep checking back.
