Try to load up your friends list as quickly as possible. You can have up to 99 friends in the game, and the more of them you have, the more secret box tokens that you get. The reason for that is that each time you come across someone who is on your friends list or in your guild in the quest mode, you’ll get 4 secret box tokens, but each time that you come across a stranger in the quest mode, you only get one secret box token, therefore the more friends and guild mates that you have, the quicker you earn the secret box tokens.
In addition, when you have friends, they can send you secret box tokens, and you can send them secret box tokens. When they send you a gift, you will be prompted to gift them back, and vice versa, so you can absolutely load up on troops and on secret box tokens by doing this.
Spend your coins as quickly as possible when you earn a ton of them (for example, after a long string of quests and battles which earn you large amounts of coins). Spend coins on weapons and armor for your troops in order to power them up so that you can win battles against higher and higher leveled players, and contribute more in guild wars.
Do your guild a favor and add as many players to the kill list as you can, each time that you lose to someone. In fact, when you’re just starting out, intentionally lose against people who are just a little bit stronger than you are so that you can add them to the kill list, and then convince people to join your guild based on the fact that you have a big kill list loaded with weak players who they can kill for tokens. Then, by the time that you are powered up, your guild will be loaded up with people.
