How to play Little Dragons (iOS + Android): Walkthrough, FAQ and Beginner’s Guide

Welcome to the beginner’s guide to Little Dragons for the iPhone, iPad, iPod and Android. This new dragon rearing game will introduce fans of other zoo games to the wonderful world of dragon breeding, and to put the icing on the cake, the humor that is present in this game far and away surpasses all of the other titles in its genre. This is a game that is easy to pick up but is difficult and time consuming to master.

As with other dragon breeding games, you start off doing two things: placing dragon habitats and hatching dragon eggs. You start off with a nursery already on your island, so when you buy a dragon egg, it will already be in the nursery. You can buy more and more nurseries for the island by spending cash/tickets, which are the premium currency of the game.

Once you hatch the egg, a baby dragon will pop out. To place the dragon on the island, you will need to buy the corresponding habitat for it. For example, if you buy a desert dragon, you will need a desert habitat to place it in. It’s that simple.

In order to make room for more dragons and more habitats, you’ll need to clear the trees, the rocks and the rock moss away from your island. Clearing them costs you coins (the primary currency of the game), takes some time to complete, and earns you experience points for doing it. Rock moss is the cheapest to get rid of and the quickest, while rocks are more expensive and take longer, and trees are the most expensive and take the most amount of time. The more expensive and time consuming, however, the more experience points they will earn you.

Your dragons will start off with an experience level of one, but you can level them up using energy. The higher their level, the more coins they will earn you per minute. Go to the buildings menu in the shop to buy energy wells, and once you do, you can use the energy wells to get energy via either short jobs or long jobs. Long jobs are more expensive but earn you more energy. The more levels you gain, the more energy wells that you can build.
