The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth (Android + iOS) Resource Guide: How to get more food, wood, stone, and ore

The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth is a new strategy game by Kabam, the company who is responsible for Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle of the North and Arcane Empires, also for the iPhone, iPad and Android platforms. This one plays much like the others, except it takes place in the world of The Hobbit, with recognizable characters such as Bilbo Baggins and Legolas. You get to play as either the dwarves or the elves, build up your kingdom or kingdoms, battle against other players and against goblins.

Food, wood, ore and stone are the main resources of the game. Without these, you can’t get more gold, train troops, or do research. Read on to find out how to maximize all of them!

The main ways to get more resources are through your resource collecting buildings. For the dwarves, farms will provide food, lumber mills provide wood, quarries provide stone and mines produce ore. For the elves, farms provide food, arboretums provide wood, quarries produce stone and ore veins provide ore.

You can build all four of them per race in the field view, but you have a limited number of space to build them. You can increase the amount of spaces by gaining experience levels. Try to build an even number of each one of them, so that you get an even number of all of them, although if you find yourself running through a particular resource more quickly than the others

Once you’ve built them, each one will produce a specific amount of the specified resource per hour. Upgrade them to increase the amount of wood, food, ore and stone that you can gain per hour. In addition, each time that you add a new resource building, or upgrade a resource building, your maximum capacity for that particular resource increases. Furthermore, if you a build a vault, then you can protect resources from being plundered by other players when they attack your kingdom.
