Guide to Skylanders Lost Islands for iOS: Tips, tricks, hints, cheats and strategies

Skylanders Lost Islands is a new city building game by Activision and Vicarious Visions for the iPhone, iPad and other iOS platforms. This game is a continuation of the Spyro the Dragon and Skylanders series of games, but in this game, rather than it being an action game, it is a city builder, the king of which has been so popular on iOS. Your goal is to rebuild the city on your island, increase the Mabu population and send your Skylanders on missions to get coins. Read on for some tips and tricks for Skylanders Lost Islands!

This trick isn’t so much a huge benefit with completing buildings faster, but it IS as far as completing adventures on the Adventure Balloon and waiting for crops to grow. Here’s what you do: First, you set your energy crops to growing, and send your Skylanders on an adventure using the adventure balloon in order to get coins.

Then once you do that, go to the date and time settings, and set the time ahead by however long it will take to finish off the adventure and the farming. Now go back to the game, and collect from all of your energy fields and your adventure balloons. Now go back to the date and time and set the time back to normal. Then go back to the game and repeat all of the above as many times as you want to.

Even though expansions are expensive, and clearing out trees and rocks is even more expensive, it’s much more cost effective to simply sell some of the cobblestone roads that your city comes with. Go to the Edit menu and tap each individual cobblestone road to sell them and make room. You won’t make too much money, but it’s more for space than anything.

Don’t place your energy plots behind any bigger buildings, or you are going to have a tough time tapping them to either plant or collect crops. Instead, put them off in their own area. Put decorations behind buildings, or simply crowd all of the big buildings together on one side, and put the energy plots and other short buildings on the other side.
