There are four different colors of each card that you can get. Bronze is the most common, but the least effecive card, while platinum, is the most powerful but the least common card (or in the case of big impact cards, gold is the most powerful but least common). The higher the color on the hierarchy, the better score that a player card will have, which means that just one silver or gold card added to a team full of bronzes can greatly increase your score.
In addition to the cards already listed, stat boost cards can boost one of your players’ statistics or give them room for more statistical increases. If you go to the the My Team tab, you can apply these card to one of your players to increase their run, jump, shot, hands or strength. No matter which stat you increase, your total rating for the team will also increase a bit (or a lot, if you use a gold stat boost card).
There are two main types of games that you can play. One of them is the quick game, which doesn’t count toward any sort of league ranking, but does count towards your person win/loss record. The other is the trophy game, which can be played in 4 different league – Amateur 10 games, amateur 20 games, pro 10 games or pro 20 games. In amateur leagues you are matched up against other players by experience level, whereas in the pro leagues you are matched up entirely randomly with other players who are also in the pro leagues.
Your goal in the trophy games is to finish in first through fifth place. The higher the place, the higher the rewards, and your rewards will consist of either coins, big bucks or both. Coins are the main currency of the game, while big bucks are the premium, more expensive currency. You can either buy big bucks, or you can go to the “Free Bucks” buttons that appear at the bottom of every menu to complete offers to get free big bucks. You can also tap the “get free coins” button at the top right corner of most screens in order to watch videos to get free coins.
