Welcome to part 3 of the Megapolis beginner’s guide! Click here to go back to part 2 of the guide.
Try to add a neighbor on the iOS or Android version, and you will be prompted to connect to Facebook to find your neighbor. Try to add a neighbor on the Facebook version and you can try to either invite your Facebook friends who play the game, or send invites to your friends who don’t play the game, and try to get them to join up.
If you connect the game to your Facebook from your phone, then you can actually play the game on Facebook on your computer, and play using the exact same city. If you download the game on the iPhone or Android after playing the Facebook game, then you will be able to download the app and play using a different city; however, if you connect to Facebook, the original Facebook city will take precedence. Once you sync the game to Facebook, there’s no way to undo it.
If you have an iOS device, an Android device (or two iOS or two Android devices), the way to get the game to sync up on both of them is to download the game to both devices, and then link first the device with the game that you want to keep to your Facebook account, and then to link the second one (the device that you want the saved game to transfer over to) with your other Facebook account. This is useful if you want to play the game on both a phone and a tablet.
In addition to the quests, there are a number of much more difficult but rewarding achievements that you can earn. Click on the icon that looks like a trophy in the upper right corner of the game in order to see them. You will be able to see all of what you need to do to earn them, as well as the massive rewards that you will gain. On the mobile devices only, you will also see an icon that says “TOP”, which you can then click to see the top players by experience, population or gold coins.
Finally, as far as options go, hit the “gears” for all kinds of new options. The tax office allows you to raise or lower taxes on your people once you unlock and build a tax office, allowing for more coins to be earned. City Hall automates tax collections and the increase of population. Megabucks, Coins and Change Network buttons are self explanatory, although Facebook is currently the only network this game is on, at least in the USA. “Help” provides another FAQ for this game.
That’s all for Megapolis! Enjoy the game!
