My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is the cartoon that turned My Little Pony from a throwback into an internet phenomenon, including spurring the creation of the whole “Brony” movement, and now it’s been turned into a game for the iPhone, iPad and other iOS devices. In this game you play as Twilight, and your goal is to shine your light on the land to remove it from the darkness caused by the evil Nightmare. Do this by bringing back your pony pals and playing a whole bunch of mini games, among other things. Read on for some tips and tricks for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!
Bits are the main currency in this game, and are this game’s version of coins. Your shops will earn you the same amount of bits per minute whether you have one or two ponies working there, so try to have one shop for every pony you have, even if you have duplicate shops, because you’ll be able to maximize both your bits and your experience points this way.
You don’t have to wait for the part of the quest to come up that has you buy another pony in order to actually buy another pony, either. Simply go to the store menu, and then go to the ponies tab and look around for a pony that you haven’t bought and brought to your village yet, and then get ’em. At some other point in time their quest will appear and it will show as already having been completed (and you’ll still get the full reward for it).
When playing the mini games, ignore the 1000 bit mini game and play the 100 bit mini game. It will take just a little bit longer to get more stars for your pony, but it will be FAR more cost-effective because you won’t be blowing 1000 coins per mini game.
Crowd your buildings as closely together as possible, and use the edit menu to get rid of trees in order to make more room to put buildings if you run out of room in your town.
