Rivals at War is a new card battling war game from Hothead Games, who is the company behind the Big Win series of sports games. This one plays much like those, but set within a grittier world filled with small militaries attacking each other and trying to win or lose points. Your team consists of commanders, snipers, radiomen, medics, breachers and more. If you keep running out of energy or losing, you may find these following tips handy.
You need energy in order to play the game, but in order to get more energy, you have to simply wait for it to come back, or buy an energy booster. The easier, faster way to get energy is simply to set the time ahead on your phone by 10 minutes per energy point that you want to restore. So if you want to restore it from empty to full, set it ahead by 2 hours on the dot. Then go back to the game and you will have it back. You can do this as many times as you want.
You get matched up in both the quick battles and the regular campaign based on your rank, so it’s in your best interest to hold back your rank for as long as possible in order to match up against weaker teams. To do this, intentionally send weaker soldiers into battle so that you will lose more often, since losing gives you very few experience points. You’ll earn less money per battle, but far more money relative to the amount of experience you earn.
Build up your coins and use them to buy bronze packs over and over so that you can have a chance at bronze soldiers. Use them to replace your standard cards so that your team builds up power very, very quickly.
Also, there is no point in watching the entire battle except to be entertained. If you skip the whole battle, the results will be the same, so you can make the game go by much more quickly by skipping every one of the battles.
