Guide to Hotel Story for iOS: Tips, tricks, cheats, hints and strategies

Hotel Story is a fun new city/resort building game with a bit of an anime backdrop. The game is based around building new rooms in a resort, such as bedrooms, baths and vending machines, and then using them to make money. You can also use items on them to make even more money, and “upgrade” them to still make even more money. Read on for some tips and tricks for Hotel Story!

To make money as quickly as possible, your first recourse is, of course, to build more buildings. Don’t spend much money on items at first, because items are found very frequently by guests in your hotel. Only start upgrading once you run out of space to put new buildings, or you just don’t want to put new buildings down anymore. Fill up your space with rooms first.

If you want to make money even faster, do all of the above, plus after you collect the money, go to the date and time settings on your phone and set them ahead by 5-10 minutes, or so, depending on how many coins per minute your buildings earn. Then go back and collect from them. Then set the time ahead again, collect again, and keep repeating this until you have as many coins as you want.

However, if you do this and set it ahead for many hours (or if your buildings mess up due to the trick below), then it’s best to sell your buildings and then to buy them again, in order to prevent them from stopping you from making money once you set the game back to normal

You can do this with tours, too, by setting the game ahead by how many hours you need in order to finish it much more quickly. If you do a 12 hour tour, it’s best to shut the game down for about 12 hours afterwards, though (ditto for an 8 hour tour). But with 2 and 4 hour tours and using the time cheat, it won’t be so hard to recover.
