Smile Plants Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Smile Plants is a new match three game by Gamevil Inc. It’s one of the few that has a very open ended method of gameplay, with your goal being to grow various pots of plants and then earn stars with them so that you can unlock the mutant plants and other bonuses, build up your plant collection and increase your amount of stars as high as you can get it. It can get difficult but these tips and tricks should help you to succeed.

When you are in the growing mode, an icon will always pop up over the plants’ head indicating which icon they want you to match next, and the corresponding pieces on the board will start shaking. Ignore these and simply stop thinking, and eliminate any possible match of any piece on the board as quickly as possible. New pieces falling onto the screen will cause extra combos on top of the ones you match, many of them being the ones that the plants want, thus making it very easy to fill the green meter and grow your plant.

After you grow your plant you can then tap it and do one of two things. You can buy the flower pot, which will provide you with a certain bonus. Bonuses can include such things as extra coins, extra time to complete each stage, or other goodies.

Extra time to complete each stage comes with all of the plants that you can grow in the Basic section. Grow the basic seeds into flowers, and then use your coins to buy all of the flower pots to get the time bonuses. Without these, the tougher seeds (such as the basic ones) will be FAR more difficult to get stars on. Refill your coins by playing the flower pots on the special rounds, and clearing as many of the coins as you can on the game board.

When you’re clearing pieces, you can continue clearing even when other combinations that are caused by falling pieces are auto clearing. If you clear a line on the bottom, all of the icons on top of it will move down. If you clear quickly enough though, it’s possible to continue making combinations with lines on top before the game has a chance to move them down.
