Fruit Mania is a new puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch by TeamLava, who is more well known for its “Story” line of games than for puzzle games, but is becoming bigger in the puzzle gaming world. Fruit Mania is a new “match” game by the company for the iPhone, where you play from stage to stage, tapping groups of 2 or more fruit to remove it and to rescue the babies that are trapped above or inside the fruit. You advance from stage to stage and have new challenges along the way, you can earn between 1 and 3 stars, and you can even do score challenges against your Facebook friends. Read on for some tips and tricks for this game!
When you play a stage without a move counter (or even with a move counter, if you can pull this off within enough moves), try to knock out every single piece on the stage before you save the last baby. If you knock off 90 percent of the pieces, you get a 2,500 point bonus, but if you knock off 100 percent of the pieces, you will get a 10,000 point bonus, which is a fairly easy ticket to a three star score.
When playing with a move counter, that’s when you try to finish the stage and get all of the babies to the bottom as quickly as possible. Every leftover move that you have when you finish will be worth 1,000 points, so the more moves, the more you can add to your score.
Use the blender at the EXACT MOMENT that it becomes ready to use. When you use the blender, you will not use up any of your moves, and using it as soon as possible will earn you another run at the blender more quickly than waiting to use it.
To maximize your score and your speed in the color blast stages, spend as much time as possible clearing colors that are nonessential, and flatten out the top of the fruit stack (to make the screen move down so yoy have more fruit on the screen). Load up on the essential fruit colors, connect them together, and then try to knock out all of the fruit all at once. If you do, you can end up with over 500 points per fruit, and end up filling the fruit meter EXTREMELY quickly.
