Dungeon Hunter 4 Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Dungeon Hunter 4 is a new game by Gameloft and Ubisoft, and despite its name, it’s actually the fifth in the Dungeon Hunter series. DH4 is a 3D Action RPG hack and slash type of game, with much more of a story than many of the other iPhone and Android games of the same genre, as well as excellent 3D graphics and some nuanced, strategy-oriented gameplay. Read on for some tips and tricks for Dungeon Hunter 4!

For awhile after you begin the game, it’s a fairly easy game, and you can defeat enemies in one hit, but as you continue on the game becomes more and more difficult. Grinding to level up is the most obvious way to win, but sometimes it’s just too slow. Use some strategy. When you have huge crowds of enemies around you, run around in circles to get them to follow you, then turn around and slash through the entire crowd of them at once.

Also, if you change directions while slashing rapidly, you’ll negate the backswing on your weapon and end up swinging a LOT more quickly than you would if you just faced the same direction. Use this when you’re surrounded by crowds of corrupted enemies in order to mow through them and get hit as little as possible.

Now, for bosses, use a different strategy. Slow down, run around and avoid their attacks but watch out for their patterns. Usually, the best time to attack is right after they try to attack you. Swing once or twice at this point (or use your active skills to do high amounts of damage), and then run off, and repeat until you defeat them.

Don’t just follow the map. Be on the lookout for treasure chests in random little corners of the map, because many of them hold better weapons, armor and other pieces of equipment, which can increase your health, your attack power and your defense, thereby allowing you to overcome hard stages much more easily.

Connect to Facebook with the game, and look for people to add on that (or on Gameloft Live, preferrably) and you will be able to send gifts back and forth with other players, allowing you to earn more gold, better equipment, and even, occasionally, more gems.
