Secret Passages: Hidden Objects FAQ, Walkthrough and Beginner’s Guide

Welcome to the beginner’s guide to Secret Passages: Hidden Objects! Secret Passages: Hidden Objects is a new hidden object game by Pocket Gems Inc, the company responsible for Tap Paradise Cove and for Campus Life, and the exploration elements will be very familiar to veterans of those games, but for the rest of the game, it’s all about finding hidden objects. You’re a member of an investigation crew who finds portals from one part of the world to the other. Read on for the beginner’s guide to Secret Passages: Hidden Objects!

To start, the main mode of play is, of course, finding hidden objects. You will have 8 total objects to find per stage, but the game will reveal 3 of them, then 3 of them after you find the first three, then the last 2 of them after you find the second three. You earn points for each object that you find, plus bonus points depending on how well you do on the stage.

For example, you get a multiplier bonus when you tap items quickly enough. There is a multiplier bar in the upper right corner of the screen, and every time that you tap an item before the bar runs out, you’ll increase the multiplier. If you tap with 100 percent accuracy (no missed taps), then you’ll earn a bonus for that, too. And you have 5 minutes per stage, and the more time that you have left at the end of the stage, the more points you’ll earn.

You’ll spend 24 energy per stage that you play, and you have 100 energy total. Once your energy runs out, you have to wait for it to come back. In the meantime, you can go to dig sites and use any shovels that you earn to dig for treasures and for materials to rebuild the ruins that you’re digging at. The shovel bar at the top of the screen (in map mode) fills a little more every time that you earn points from finding objects, and once it fills up, you earn three shovels.

You have three tiles that you can find, and it doesn’t matter which one of them you pick – the item that you dig up is completely random. Continue on to part 2 of the Secret Passages: Hidden Objects walkthrough to find out more about what you can find, and more!
