VS Racing 2 Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

VS Racing 2 is a new racing game for the iPhone and iPad, as well as other iOS systems, and of course, it is the sequel to the original VS Racing. You can either play against other players in a Words with Friends style competition of sending races back and forth, or you can play in single player mode, in such modes as racing, elimination or drifting. Read on for some tips and tricks for VS Racing 2!

Running out of gas? It’s certainly easy to do in VS Racing 2, and it takes forever for your gas meter to fill up again, but you can get more fuel instantly by going to the date and time settings on your device and setting them ahead. Set them ahead a few hours if you want to refill the gas bar from empty to full. Set it ahead a bit less if you need less energy.

Best of all, you can set the bar ahead, go back to the app to see that your gas has been restored, then go set the time back to normal and the free gas that you just got will still be there. This is also a good way to speed up your car upgrades.

A number of techniques can be used to easily win races, but the best one is to try to take as tight of a turn as possible. If you ride the inside guardrail just lightly enough, you won’t slow down but you’ll actually turn much more quickly. Also, cut across off-road sections of turns if it means you have to do less actual turning. Upgrade your off road ability to maintain your speed easily.

Judge the handling of each car that you can buy by the amount of weight that it has. If a car weighs less, it’s going to handle better, and if it weighs more it’s going to handle worse. Heavier cars are good for doing longer drifts and doing more damage to cars when you hit them in elimination mode, though.

If you don’t want to buy upgrades, but instead want to save your coins, play the stages that you can beat easily over and over again. If you can get first place in a stage, you don’t need any upgrades. Just play it again and again and save your coins for a new car.
