Madden NFL 25 (iOS/Android) Tips and Tricks Guide: Cheats, Hints and Strategies

Madden NFL 25 is the newest edition of the Madden franchise, and the first one ever to come out for free on the iPhone, iPad, and (later this year) the Android! It’s a freemium edition of the game, meaning that there are lots of in app purchases, but if you want to play the game for free, it’s absolutely doable. Your goal is to build up your team with better players and player cards a la Big Win Football, except that just like any other Madden game, you’re in control of the team to as much of a degree as you want to be. Read on for some tips and tricks for Madden NFL 25 for iOS and Android!

This game is as much about building your roster as it is making plays on the field, so be smart about it. You can get full card packs by spending quite a few coins, and the normal card packs will usually contain 1 gold player, maybe 1 legend or platinum player. However, if you specifically are looking for gold or platinum players, head to the auction and look for players on the cheap. Make bids eBay-style on auctions that are just about to close, and you can get some EXCELLENT deals on elite players.

When you’re playing defense, if you’re not very good at tackling, pick a defender who is far away from the play by tapping on them. The computer will control all of the rest of the defenders, and your involvement will be minimal. Still, when the opposing quarterback throws a pass, swipe when the blue arrow appears to increase chances of an interception.

However, if you want to get closest to the player who has the ball, simply double tap anywhere on the screen and you’ll automatically switch to whichever defender is closest to the player with the ball. This makes it easy to pull off blitzes, or to tackle a running back or a receiver as soon as they get the ball.

When you’re running a pass play on offense, don’t just stand there and wait for a receiver to get open. Swipe sideways from your quarterback to scramble in one direction or the other. It’s usually smartest to pick a direction that you have more receivers in; however, either way works.

Want to unlock more plays without spending real money? Keep playing in season mode, exhibition mode and solo challenge mode to continuously earn experience points. As you gain levels, you’ll be able to unlock more and more plays.

You get docked 1 energy point for every drive that you pull off. Drag out the drives to conserve energy by running out the clock when you’re in a lead, no matter what quarter you’re in, or when you’re playing defense, allow the offense to score a few first downs before you knock them into a fourth down situation.
