Deer Hunter 2014: Part 3 of the Walkthrough, Wiki, FAQ and Beginner’s Guide

Welcome to part three of the Deer Hunter 2014 beginner’s guide! Click here to go back to part 2 of the guide.

Some of the heart shot missions will involve animals who will attack you when the caution sign is full, rather than run away. If you fire an errant shot, they will charge at you, and when they start to pounce, time will slow down and an outline of their heart or lungs (depending on which part you have to shoot) will appear. Fire a quick shot before you get attacked and you can score some easy kills. Wait too long, though, and you’ll be mauled and lose the hunt.

Still other missions include killing 4 or more animals. Usually these animals are stampeding from one side of the stage to the other, so you have to aim and fire as they are on the run. It’s still possible to score head and lung shots, but heart shots are flat out impossible (not that you really need them). It doesn’t matter where the shot hits as long as the animals get killed.

If you shoot a running animal and don’t kill it, an energy bar will appear to show you how much energy it has left before you kill it. If you shoot it in the right place or if it has low enough energy, it will start limping, making the next shot a far easier shot, and leaving you more time to shoot it before it goes off screen.

Check out the Club Hunt missions for special events that you can do. These are hunts where you and other players of the game can try to clear out a certain number of animals before the time runs out. The “Cull the Herd” missions involve shooting a variety of running land animals. The Predator Hunts have you try to shoot as many attacking animals as possible, while the bird missions have you try to shoot birds out of the air before the mission ends.

That’s about all for Deer Hunter 2014! Enjoy the game!
