Another excellent base building defensive strategy is to build walls, and load up the inside of the walls with your defensive buildings, such as your cannons and archer towers. Then put your just barely outside of the walls, but leave your castle inside of the walls. Do this, and your resources may take more of a hit, but your base will be nearly impossible to destroy.

When you are attacking someone with an extra strong defense (especially single player stages as they tend to be more heavily defended than multiplayer stages), forget about the ninjas altogether. If it’s someone with a lot of walls, send in a few rams first to knock down the walls that need to be knocked down in order to get to the castle. Then, send an entire flood of samurai in after them, as samurai have a much higher defensive rating and more health points than the ninjas do, thus allowing them to outlast most defensive structures.

In some stages, there will be small squares of space where you can send in your troops behind enemy lines, because of the way the stage is built. If these squares are there, send your troops into those squares, as close to the castle as possible. You’ll get a victory any time that you destroy the castle, no matter how much destruction percentage you attain otherwise (and conversely, if you don’t destroy the castle, you lose, unless you achieve a 50% destruction rate).

When you get to the “train troops” screen, hit the arrows in the upper left corner of the screen to quickly switch back and forth between your Dojos without having to go back to the map screen first. This makes training troops using a ton of dojos at once a quick and easy process.

When you’re in multiplayer battles, but before you begin a battle, if you come across a random battlefield that looks like it will be too tough to beat, spend the 200 coins to go to the next battlefield. Keep doing this until you find one that looks beatable. If you have an insane amount of coins that you can waste, hold out until you find a battle that’s legitimately easy as hell to beat.
