You don’t even need to draw a line in order to choose where you want to run to. Just tap the screen instead, and a straight line will automatically be drawn to wherever you want to run to. Use this to prevent from making wrong moves on the board, and to run to your intended destination far more quickly. Plus, you can tap to make adjustments to the line you’re running on instead of drawing an adjustment line that sends you in an accidental circle.
Also, anticipate where the ball is going. Practice running to where you think it’s going to land (it usually lands in the same place vertically), and when you see it appear, tap right below the ball on the red line or thereabouts. The sooner you get the ball, the more of a head start you will have against the defenders on the opposing team.
Check the store every day, because every day, new items will go on sale for half of their original price. When items go on sale, purchase those before you purchase anything else. The sale items will typically be about half of their usual price.
Even though there are a limited amount of players that you can sign via free agency, you can buy a nearly unlimited amount of items through the store. Each time that you buy items in the store, if you back out of the store and then re-enter the store, new items will begin showing up. Sometimes, very effective items (such as the size sled, which sells for 2,100 and increases blocker size by 6) will pop up randomly, and will be far more effective than even more expensive items. So before you purchase an item, take note of its effects.
Also, take note of what each statistic represents. Speed is self-evident. Agility increases your ability to break a tackle by spinning. Power increases your ability to break a tackle by running through. Size increases the size of the blockers, while blockers’ power increases their ability to slow down defenders before the defenders eventually run through.
