Dungeon Keeper (iOS/Android) Attack Strategy Guide

Base defense is all well and good in Dungeon Keeper, but you had better have your offense up to snuff if you want to succeed. There are plenty of strategies to get an improved attack, and to have better results against not only other players, but against the campaign mode battles as well. Read on for the attack strategy guide in Dungeon Keeper!

The first thing to remember is to keep in mind what the most important buildings are. The Dungeon Heart is obviously number one, but the treasuries and the stone storages are next in line. Not only do they hold the bulk of the resources in any enemy dungeon, but they will contribute most towards the percentage scores that you earn when you attack a base.

Next, the battles are a numbers game more than anything, so it is extremely advantageous to have as many housing slots for your minions as you can. To make that happen, build a hatchery. Then build another hatchery, and as you unlock more hatcheries, build them too. Upgrade all of your hatcheries to the highest level they will go. Each new hatchery gives you 5 more housing slots, and each upgrade to a hatchery gives you an additional 5 housing slots.

Focus on unlocking all of your potentially available minions as well. The skeleton and the troll are your starter minions. After that you can unlock the warlock, the bile demon, the ghost, the vampire, the mistress and the dragon whelp. Each one of them is unlocked by buying a certain building (it will say in the summon area which building corresponds with which troop), and new buildings are unlocked by upgrading the dungeon heart.

Your strategy is going to differ depending on whether you are attacking another player or playing in the campaign. For the campaign attack stages, you are going to want to send troops in at the left and right sides, generally, except for a certain few stages where the upper and lower spawn points are almost completely unguarded. The closer to the dungeon heart, the better. If you destroy the dungeon heart, you will win no matter what.

Send in your troops in a specific order. Your trolls are great for destroying enemy traps and defenses, so send them in first. Then send in the “closest building” attackers, such as skeletons and warlocks, after the defenses are softened up a bit.
