Pirates of Everseas – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Pirates of Everseas is a new MMO strategy game by Glu Games. Think of it as Kingdoms of Camelot on the water, as your goal is to build up your island so that you can produce as many of the main resources as possible (gold, food, wood and iron), construct ships and use your smitheries to make weapons for your pirates, then send your fleets out on expeditions to destroy your opposition and explore around the world. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pirates of Everseas!

You have three ways of becoming more powerful in this game. The main way is to build more ships, load them up with pirates and equip them, then stick them in your fleet. You’ll need to have your houses upgraded and more houses built in order to increase your population. Then build more piers, then build more ships in the shipyard. The better your piers are, the more ships you will be able to build, and the bigger the ships.

Next, you can level up your already-existing ships. This is done by sending them out on more voyages, battling against the various monsters that pop up, as well as ransacking other players’ islands. You will gain no experience or resources if you lose in battle, instead wasting your coins on repairing your ships every time, so make sure to send them into battles that you know that you can win.

Finally, you can equip your pirate ships with better weapons. Do this by upgrading your blacksmith, gunsmith and foundry. Swords are better for attacking pirates (2x damage) while axes are better for attacking monsters (2x damage, again). Guns and cannons are stronger than swords and axes, and have no advantages or disadvantages, making them excellent all around choices.

Want to earn gold fast? Max out your number of farms, then keep planting and harvesting carrots over and over. It might be somewhat tedious, but it’s by far the fastest way to earn gold. The fastest way to earn wood is to attack monsters, rival pirates, and to explore wreckages.

Gems are the premium currency of the game. Earn more gems for free by completing the various quests in the game and collecting the rewards. It might be tempting to spend all of your gems right away, but save them because they may come in handy later on for permanent uses, such as building a second fleet.
