Dragon Friends is a new dragon rearing game for the iOS and Android platforms. It’s not a straight clone of Dragon City and Dragons World – rather, it takes what the other games did right, keeps them, and then throws out most of the stuff that was irritating or constraining, making this one of the most playable Dragon raising games around. Read on for some tips and tricks for Dragon Friends!
-Build as many farm plots as you can fit onto your island, as farming is one of the best ways to earn more coins.
-Place your buildings as close together as possible, in order to make more room on the island for new buildings.
-In addition, place your buildings as close to the edge of the island as possible to start with. The game will actually let you place buildings so that they are hanging halfway off of the island, which allows you a much larger amount of room than what it looks like you have.
-There are four different varieties of every animal and dragon (different colors, meaning different rarities). The higher your animals and dragons’ experience levels are, and the rarer the colors of the dragons that you breed with, the more likely you are to get a rarer animal or dragon.
-Add as many friends as possible, because much of the gameplay is social. To start adding friends without using Facebook, go to Rina’s profile and add everyone who’s working on her buildings or caring for her crops.
-When you are looking for someone whose crops need care or whose buildings have an opening to work on, go to the friends list and look for the little icons above your friends’ profile pictures. The red icon indicates an opening to work on a building and the turnip icon indicates an opening to care for crops. Orange icons indicate that a baby dragon is ready to be blessed.
-The fastest way to earn coins when you are actively playing is to plant tomatoes and harvest them over and over. Set a long farming job, such as sunflowers or raspberries, right before you go to bed to earn more coins while you sleep.
-To earn experience points quickly, find a decoration that gives you a high amount of experience for the amount of coins spent. The 60-coin decorations, such as the waterwheel and the jars, are best for this. Fill your entire island with them, then sell them off. Repeat over and over again until you run out of coins.
-Locked treasure chests often appear in the water and cost 2 gems to open. Usually they only give you 500 coins but often they’ll give you more gems than you spent to unlock them (such as 7 gems).
-Sell the magic tree for an extra 395 free gold. If you sell it, though, the island that it was on disappears as well.
