Throughout most of the game, you will have the most return-on-investment by upgrading your business investments. Most of the time, that is – but there will be some cases in which your financial investments will provide a far better return. One such time is when you start getting into the low billions for the first time. The hedge fund will be available for purchase at that point, which provides a MASSIVE return on investment and will make it easier simply to let the game sit while you collect money. This is just one of many examples, but it’s the first example of a financial investment beating business investments.
The game was just recently updated, so if you have not done so yet, update the game and you’ll have available all kinds of new investments. They will all be at the bottom of the store, and many of them will be out of order price-wise, but they will also tend to be better deals than their predecessors. For example, a Cryogenic Brain Storage costs 9.86BB with a 100MB click, but an Electronic Apiary costs 9.24BB with a 1BB benefit.
One of the other great things about this game is the humor involved in it. Look for various media references in many of the new bonuses and benefits that pop up inside of the game. For example, you can buy a Banana Stand as a business investment, an obvious reference to Arrested Development.
Ads have been massively increased inside the game since the last update. Interstitials tend to pop up during the most annoying times, so if you want to turn them off, simply play the game in airplane mode or with the date and wifi off.
Or you can put the ads to your advantage. If you don’t want to get busted by the IRS, then first, pull up a store menu. When you are in the store menu, the financial investments will continue to do their work. Eventually, an ad will pop up as well. The financial investments will still cause money to build up while the ad is up, but the IRS will never show up, allowing you to earn money indefinitely.
In general, buy the biggest investments that you can get your hands on, because they will provide the biggest return on investment. However, there are exceptions to every rule, so factor out how much every purchase will bring in per dollar amount spent before you actually go for it. And factor in how you tend to play the game personally, as well.
