MetalBuster – Tips and Cheats: The Strategy Guide

MetalBuster is a new beat-em-up game for the iOS and Android platforms. Fans of the late and great ’90s Final Fight clones will love this game as your whole goal is to advance from area to area, punch, kick and shoot hordes of monsters, and advance forward. You can even get bonuses such as new robots, coupon codes, coins and gems, leading to either new and more powerful robots, or ways to enhance your current robot. Read on for some tips and tricks for MetalBuster!

The levels in this game start out easy but they progressively get tougher and tougher. If you feel the need to level up, go back to stages that you have already beaten and play them again. You won’t earn any red gems, but you will earn quite a few coins just from doing this, which can then be put to use in the lottery area, acquiring new robots and then either equipping them or melting them down.

Want to get some equipment for your robot? Go to the endless battle mode and fight for as long as you can. The more waves you are able to complete, the better the equipment bonus you can end up with. Keep going back and testing your skills for the best equipment possible.

Your energy controls how many times you can use your booster and your three special skills. If you run out of energy, then simply standing around will cause it to come back over time. Hit points and energy can also be restored by picking up drops from enemies after you beat them. Save your three special moves for the enemies with projectile attacks, since they tend to be the most troublesome.

Special attacks are great for the projectile shooters and for enemies with small amounts of hit points, but for boss enemies and enemies with high quantities of health, use your punching combos. Not only will they do just as much damage as the special attacks (more, even), but if you keep a combo going, you can essentially immobilize an enemy.

Ignore the boosters unless you REALLY need them to pass a difficult stage or you want to get as far as possible on the endless mode. You’ll often earn free boosters, though, so use them on the toughest stages, which aren’t always the boss battle stages.
