King of the Course – Tips and Cheats: The Ultimate Strategy Guide

King of the Course is a new golfing game by EA Sports for the iPhone and iPad. This is EA’s first golfing game since Tiger Woods PGA Tour, and as such, there aren’t real life golfers in this game. Instead, it’s a Candy Crush-style level progression game with various challenges that you have to complete to earn enough points to move on. Read on for some tips and tricks for King of the Course!

You get up to five balls at a time, which are King of the Course’s version of energy or lives, and once you run out, you either have to buy more or wait for them to come back. The other option, though, is to use the all-too-well-known time lapse cheat, which is done by setting the time ahead on your phone. The number of balls you need to recover determines how far ahead you need to set the time.

Best part is, you can set the time back to normal right after doing this trick. Then, when you go back to the game, the balls will still be there, so you can do this trick as long as you want without having to make the time go haywire on your phone or tablet.

If you don’t want to use your phone timer to cheat for energy, though, use Facebook. Ask your friends for energy, and send them energy when they ask you for some. If you don’t have any Facebook friends who play and you don’t mind adding strangers, look around in places like the comments page on this site, the App Store review page or the Facebook page for the game.

Tokens are the currency of the game, and they have multiple uses, from increasing golfers’ skills across the board to purchasing new golfers. Each character will have their own set of strengths and weaknesses. For example, the sweetheart’s aiming is second to none, while the hotshot is a jack of all trades and a master of none.

Most of the aiming is done while the ball is in midair. The basics are to hit when the swing meter is in the green and to swipe straight up as much as possible (except when wind makes you have to curve it). Once the ball is in the air, though, swipe to whatever side you want to direct the ball to, be it up, down, left, right or diagonal. The more space to cover, the faster you should be swiping. You can even make a ball roll backwards by swiping down hard enough.
