Timberman is a new simple puzzler for the iOS and Android platforms. Your only goal in this game is to cut wood without the tree branch hitting you in the head, and without the timer running out. It sounds simple enough, but it can get extremely difficult later on in the game when the timer is rolling faster and more branches begin appearing on the tree. Read on for some tips and tricks for Timberman!
Try to establish a consistent rhythm early on, and always make sure to remember to look ahead so that you don’t get caught off guard by any tree branches. Failure to do either one of these things will result in you tapping too early or too late, causing your lumberjack to smash right into a tree branch and lose the stage.
You have to keep the timer at the top of the stage from hitting empty in order to survive. The faster and the more consistently you tap, the more full that the timer will stay. However, it will start dropping faster and faster as you earn more points on a stage, so you will have to tap more and more quickly.
The more points you score on a stage, or the more total wood chunks you cut, the more stuff you unlock in the costume store. Costumes are unlocked either by hitting a certain high score on a stage or by hitting a certain total number of chunks, or by getting a particular score multiple times in a row. Some of the rarest include Lazy Bird (AKA Flappy Bird) who comes after you score 700 points three consecutive times, and President Obama, who comes after scoring 550 points three times.
If you have a screen protector on your phone, remove the protector temporarily in order to allow for the highest sensitivity possible for the screen. With screen protectors on it’s too easy to miss a tap or two and lose the round.
If you begin to get too frustrated, put the game down for an hour or two and come back later. Once your adrenaline is back down to normal, if you come back to the game, your scores will typically skyrocket and the game will feel a whole lot easier to play and beat.
